If I was one of your children, I'd WANT to be disowned by you - give yourself a good kick in the nuts & get a grip on what's important - Like a son that watches a program that I find pretty tedious & unexciting, rather than watching frlesh-ripping gore & hardcore porn.

If he's gay - so what ? Are you simply afraid your not enough parent to help your son deal with the problems that a gay guy faces?

BTW - don't get the wrong idea - I'm a straight guy & a Raiders fan too.

No - there's bigger issues out there! Maybe the other shows were boring or maybe he thinks the Gilmore girls are cute. Talking to him would be the right choice instead of disowning him - that's really drastic.

Ah!! Justin, you want to disown your 17 year-old son cos he's watching a movie. Then, how do you feel if tomorrow you see him becoming a member of a notorious ganster, and so forth. I think the boy needs your help right now, more than before, especially on matters concerning sex, for him to approach it the right way. And, what about his mother? Sorry, if I'm getting too close. I just believe it's the responsibility of both of you (his parents) to handle this matter. Good luck and have a nice day.

Hmmm... did he see Sin City? The girl from Gilmore Girls was in Sin City as a prostitute. Maybe he thinks that girl is a hottie and watches the show because he likes her. To be honest, if he was gay, I think he'd be watching shows that feature at least some eye candy for the gay dudes... like Supernatural... or Smallville...

I'm not sure if he's gay. There are straight guys who enjoy watching this type of things too. But if you get to prove that he's gay, you shouldn't disown him. Never. You could at least try to get it out of his system or you could just accept it. Don't disown him even if he is gay. That's discrimination right? He's still your son after all. Maybe he got bored and couldn't find anything else to watch, a friend of mine watched this series called "Full House" because he couldn't find anything else to watch. But he's definitely not gay.

Just because your son was watching Gilmore Girls does not make him any more or less of a man. Nor does that make him gay. At any rate, you are his parent and you should love him NO MATTER WHAT.

It seems to me that it's your attitude & stereotyping that need to be disowned.

Blessings To Your Son

There is no proof in watching a TV show that your son is Gay.
If you think he is then ask him. but it doesn't have any bearing on a TV show. Even if he is Gay , Why would you disown your own flesh and blood? He still needs his family.

colleges want to do a miles more desirable helpful job of preventing the bullying. The consequences should be severe. It became once basically the lads that were bullies. Now the girls are growing into the act. How is a baby who's bullied meant to earnings something in the college room at the same time as he’s fearful about getting beaten up or burdened at the same time as he leaves college to bypass domicile? and how is he meant to concentration on his homework at the same time as he’s fearful about getting to college the subsequent morning without getting beaten up or burdened? Bullies are on the low end of the academic nutrition chain. they have the braveness of a toad and the mind to compare. Bullies ought to easily accept one probability to end their nonsense. a universal journey might want to get them a 2 day suspension (they gained’t concepts because they’re now unlikely to earnings something besides). A 2d offense should be dealt with as battery and earn them a weekend in reformatory and a 2 week suspension. The suspension should be served in domicile, in the detention room which will basically sit down there all day and be bored. regardless of it takes, we ought to end the bullying. it isn't harmless and there is not any justification for tolerating it. the days of “Boys will be boys” want to be discarded continually. An eleven-3 hundred and sixty 5 days-old boy hanged himself as a results of abuse he took. He died because no individual at his college did something about the bullying he became subjected to. BTW, this isn't frequently an problem of bigotry. it really is an problem of habit. we won't be able to punish human beings for his or her attitudes and ideology, yet we can actually punish them for his or her habit.

I wouldn't assume he is gay just because he was watching a Television show. It's a show thats popular among teenagers these days.

Even if by some chance he was Gay why would you disown him? He is your son you should accept him no matter what.

Although ABC Family Channel is kind of lame ...I would not consider him gay.

The Gilmore girls is like studying the nature of animals at the zoo....guy's aren't really sure what makes girls tick and this may be a way to observe them in there natural habitat.
My sister had a relationship with my mother in this way and it always intrigued me on how they could be best friends.

Maybe if you spent some time with your son...instead of letting the TV be his freind.

Time spent with my father hunting are some of the best memories that I can remember.
