it shouldn't be but unfortunately when you question them they get angry.

not only mohommedanism is above criticism (according to the mohommedans). The fundie xtians (loony right) are just as bad. In each case, they and only they can possibly be right. Since the two are diametrically opposed, there can never be peace between them. Then add Judaism and the pot boils. Probably Judaism has the best claim as it's the oldest and God definitely told them that the Torah (Pentateuch) he gave them was a Torah for all time and not a single letter could ever be changed. Funny that both follow-on religions try to calim the same although both are in breach of the first commandment.
Maybe they're all wrong and there's no god at all. Then one day, they'll find out that they've wasted their entire life on plain rubbish.

Yes
coz for a certain people it is considered to be a Holy Method.
i think most of our ideas come from kinda "foully" resources, & the media provide us with lots of wrong ideas & concepts about Islam so that we make many random judgments about it & jump into conclusions, & criticize islam & muslims with kinda barbaric attitude.
No, im not talking about the "animals" who bomb themselves & kill innocent people coz they are not humans, not muslims, & they dont even deserve to be mentioned, but I'm talking about any peaceful muslim, a regular human, a normal Joe if u will... u should have a closer look in some islamic countries such as United Arab Emirates or Malaysia & u will actually change ur perspective about the whole thing. I know i did.

I don't think anything said by men and claimed to be from God is above criticism. The question is, "Can it stand up to criticism?" Generally, a nation is either Islamic by dictates of those in political power, or only in a minority. It seems that in places where open criticism of Islam is allowed, it usually can't take root. That always seemed to push it down, to me. Other religions (Christianity, Budhism, Judism, Mormanism) have flurished even in places where they can be and are openly criticized. Islam has very few examples of that.

Thanks for Your Question
Well not at all but you have the right to freely ask about anything and to Criticize anything you want but I don't think your criticism will be in its right place because as a Muslim I believe that Islam is the true pure words of God so if you criticized anything I think you will turn out to be wrong :(
but after all if you have any thing to ask about or criticize please feel free to contact me on abouterachess@yahoo.com

No religion is above criticism. Some followers of religions try to make it that way though. People generally don't like it when their religion is criticized. Most people react ok though, but there are always some nuts in between who can't take the criticism and want to shut up critics by scaring them or something.
Muslims tend to do it with violence or threats of violence. Jews yell NACIST in your face and lecture you about the holocaust. Christians tell you you are going to suffer in hell for eternity.
It's all used as tools to shut you up because they can't take the criticism or respond to it in rational ways.

I don't know how you stand spiritually, but forget about Islam and any other false religions, I will try and help you.
The Bible is the only Truth. Once you have a personal relationship with God, nobody or nothing can challenge your faith. Believe me, I know my God is real and I can help you if you need to know more, or put you in touch with the appropriate people, You just have to ask.
To be honest, are you sure you're asking true born-again-Christians. I can only advise you to sincerely ask Jesus Christ into your life and everything you want to know about God will eventually be revealed to you as you grow in the Christian Faith. You see you can go to the graves of all your false prophets and Buddha, Miohammed etc. and dig up their remains, but go to Christ's tomb and it's empty, why? because He Rose from the dead.
Openmindly read the Gospels and preferably some of Pauls letters especially the letter to the Ephesians. Once you have experienced this tremendous understanding of God's Will for you, Satan will appear as an angel of light to confuse you, thinking that he will destroy your relationship with God, don't be taken in by this.
If you want chapters and verses then the first thing to do is read Genisis very carefully and read Christian Literature, i.e. Life-How did it get here. But to be honest , all your answers are in the Bible.
You want a quote from the Bible, John 3 v16, Isaiah 43 V 1-3. The Sermon on the Mount, Mathew chapters 5 - 8.
Turning your life over to Christ will take courage, as an ex-soldier, I can truly identify with this. let's put it this way, if there was no God, I wouldn't be here today answering your Question, I wouldn't be alive, and that's the truth. Please, learn to identify the difference between satans manipulation, and the Truth in God. I could give you many scriptual references to your question, but the real step is finding Christ and asking him into your life. There will be no doubt about it, if you're sincere, the Holy Spirit will reveal everything to you. He loves you and wants to save you from hell and an eternity without God.
If it's guidance you need then contact you're nearest true Christian Church, myself, or Christians who will explain anything you need to know. Remember we (True Born-Again-Christians) love everyone.

All religion is above criticism to its believers.
What I find frustrating is that *most* Muslims consider Islam above debate. For most other major religions you can have a debate about the nature of the faith (I think for some Buddhists this is in fact encouraged). Every Muslim I have meet is unwilling to have this discussion.

INCOGNITO,
Are you kidding? It's neither people or the religion.
It's mistakes. People keep falling down on the bombs they strap to themselves, while intending to travel safely to a place where they can throw them away.
Those airliners on 911, oops, again. They mistakenly found those buildings with the nose of the plane, both of them. It was only coincidence that it happened on the same day.
These people were of all faiths. They were not Islam. No. One was recorded as saying, I'm not an extremist, I only wanted to deliver a letter to my relatives at the tower building. Oops.
Islam is a peaceful religion. It's proven everyday here on Yahoo!Answers. Because they say they are, and we believe every freaking thing we hear! Because we are gullible and stupid.

No, there are plenty of people ready and willing to do this and are doing this.
What is lacking is any kind of reason or real information in most of the debates eg. the debates between committed Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Jews etc. (see link below for example of how it should be done)
What is not acceptable is using insults and false stereotyping. Also, religious affiliations seem to be applied selectively. For example, would we say "Christian" Fascists (Hitler, Mussolini), "Jewish" mass murder Harold Shipman, "Jewish" Danish cartoonist, "Hindu" suicide bombers (Tamil Tigers)?

As I examine this holy e book after the 1st few pages it grow to be an absolute revelation to me, as i found alot of contradictions interior the Bible. despite undesirable you hear approximately Islam, the reality lies interior the Quran, and you wont understand till you examine it. maximum persons have been very much bowled over once I switched over, I fairly have blond hair and blue eyes, some peopel end me interior the streets and say 'why did a woman such as you connect a foul, oppressive faith? I clarify the suited once I factor out such via fact the muslim womens gown, or the expertise at the back of our segragated existence type, people in many circumstances say that's clever. wish this permits you to grow to be greater open minded.
