Dont flirt and make comments that he'll think your interested, try not to look sexy around him or give him any compliments, if he invites you out kindly make an excuse and if he keeps trying it on just tell him your seeing someone else, above all try and avoid touching him or being too close this could lead to him thinking that you are interested, if he asks just be honest especially if he is a good friend as he will feel rejected and humiliated if you reject him without an explanation. honesty is the best policy

7.direct eye contact
list can go on and on. Generally anything can give a guy the wrong idea.

Reply to his texts, but don't return his phonecalls. Let him call u, don't call him. Don't be mean, unless you don't care wheter you remain his friend or not, but don't be over friendly. Don't make arrangements to see him by yourself.
