we text everyday and chat on msn but only get the chance to meet once a week due to other comittments

If they make you happy then its no big deal. Once a week is a good amount of time to spend together at the beginning of a relationship... youget to know eachother slowly and miss them like crazy until the one day you get to see them.... making you want them and appreciate them even more.....

Absolutely !! If you only see him once a week you guys must be so excited to see each other. IF you see eachother almost everyday the excitement goes away quickly.
All that waiting for 7 loooong days till THAT day !! :) Think of the anticipation. Besides, it's not HOW much time you spend together, it's the quality time that counts. hope this helps.

Yes i would. But since you are asking an opinion i would say you should stop seeing someone you only see once a week. I mean that by asking you are doubting that it is enough for you.

i am in a similar situation, have been for 2 years now. i know it gets hard, and sometimes lonely, but if you are happy, then be happy. i have tried the marriage thing, that didn't work, i did the live in thing also, that didn't work. i turned out not to be happy in either relationship. i kinda like the idea of a perennial boyfriend. we hardly ever fight because the time in between are few and far between. we talk everyday, he has turned into my best friend. i am happy. my philosophy on this relationship is "if it's not broke, don't fix it."

Don't see why not. My Daughter has remained partners with her boyfriend and they were separated by hundreds of miles for most of last year. If you like him, give it a chance, if it's meant to be it will survive and you may even be able to see more of each before long.

wow!! That sounds like me and my crush..i text him(he doesn't always text me back, but it's ok, I respect the fact that he is busy) anyway, we don't text everyday, and we only see each other once or twice a week, but if he would ask me out I would go..In fact, i think I might ask him out(as friends, of course, because he's gay, unfortunately..)

yell yea! i would. that would leave the rest of the week to go out and party how nice no argueing great sex when you do meet and get them to spoil the hell out of ya in the prosess then kiss good bye and go party again.

It sounds to me like that's exactly what you're doing - dating... Not really viable as a long-term thing though.
