6'0" 180 lbs. The upper end is 190 for that height. The low end is 150 (talk about a beanpole).

It's a small little picture and it shows what it can...

Is it really that bad? Should I try and take a new one?

Ya know what,,, I'd tell those people to check in a mirror first of all. But better you just ignore and avoid those people.

What are you comfortable with? How do you feel generally about YOU? Who is it that tells you you're fat? HERE in YAHOO?

This is a fantasy world, and inhabited by many who are less that kind. You could change your avatar without changing you.

I suggest that you just take care of you. If you feel good about yourself, aren't concerned about the fact that you're within proper weight to height ranges, then I'd say The Heck with what Others think. You may never eliminate all the negativity in the world, but you certainly can avoid a lot of it.

Maybe icons do what television does. Like add the appearance of ten pounds or so....but I don't think you're overweight at all according to your pic. It could also be the angle and perspective from which the image was taken. Lighting also could be a culprit here, but personally, I wouldn't worry about it.

If *you* don't like the pic, then take a new one & give it a try. If not, then relax & don't listen to everyone else.

You don't look fat to me at all. And now that I know your measurements, I'm thinking you need to gain some weight. My husband is 5'10 and 200 pnds, and I thought he was just muscular. It's never occured to me that he might be fat. Anyway, I think that the size of the chair, and the camera angle are what's causing the large impression, but I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Depends on the distribution of weight really. For instance, I am fat, but in my pics look small or average (well that's what 'everyone' tells me).

Do this...Stand when your pic is taken - even if it's just a chest and up shot, your posture will look better and photo better.

your avatar does not show you as fat and whoever pointed that out sure was not seeing the right avatar I guess!Maybe its the width of the chair you are sitting on that shows you fat...... so change the angle of your picture and the chair too!! But yes you could try a new just for the kicks............. and confuse others too!!!

Looks like that's a bad angle for you. Try turning your head a litle more to the right.

People think that you're fat (based on your avatar) because it seems that you got broad shoulders. Don't worry about it. ;)
