By utilizing proper technique and form, any punch can be developed and thrown powerfully. However, natural genetics, such as: weight, height, body-type, etc; do play an important role. No one punch can be categorized as the most powerful punch. It is a very individualized concept. In the case of Mike Tyson it may be the uppercut (left or right). In Wladimir Klitschkos’ it is the left-hook. An example of this concept would be: if two different individuals were to try and develop the exact same punch (any particular punch), by doing the same exercises and drills, one individual would develop a more powerful punch then the other.
Because no two people posses the same natural genetics, as discussed above, based on the above philosophy.

Basically it depends on you...some people have deadly uppercuts while other right hooks do the same damage.

The uppercut is one of the most dangerous punches in Boxing. When thrown as a part of a multi-punch combination it can have very good effect. Not many fighters consistently throw uppercuts so, because of that, most fighters do not practice avoiding them very often.

The punch is good when thrown at a variety of times, but I think after throwing a good left jab it is good to follow up with the right uppercut. The uppercut should usually be thrown during the course of 'in-fighting' , when you are close to your opponent. Throwing the uppercut from too far away leaves you in a position to be countered much more easily. Throwing the left jab sets up the uppercut very well. You should throw the uppercut in a way that allows you, upon completion of the punch, to be in a position to follow with a left hook afterwards.

Mike Tyson is someone , among others, that has a very effective uppercut.

The most powerful punches are those which cannot be landed except in combinations. They include right or left cross and also lower body punches which may not be as devastating. The uppercut is also quite powerful. The jab, obviously is not. I would say, the most powerful punch is thrown with you good hand ending just below shoulder level. This would probably place it in the ribs of the opponent.

probably right cross (or left if you are left handed) but hook punches are pretty powerful too. it mainly depends on where on your body you have the most muscle and how you throw the punch using your body weight.
