You have been too hungry approaching this meal. You have been hit by the big carbohydrate intake, and your insulin output has dramatically risen to lock away all the glucose converted from the food you have just eaten. You need to think about eating more often, but smaller meals, of a low GI type foodstuff. Example - a bowl of Frosties gives a big sugar rush, followed rapidly by the insulin crash, where you feel very sluggish, so you crave the sugar again. A bowl of muesli, and the glucose gets converted much slower, leaving you more alert and less hungry for a lot longer.

My ex used to say it was all the blood rushing to your stomach and leaving the rest of the body feeling tired. I think it's something to do with digesting your food. And don't worry, there are no dinosaurs any more.

think of it this way, if u were to eat the same meal (at the same quantity) as breakfast, would u feel tired? (God forbid!).
That means it is not the chemical composition of the food that causes sleep.
it is the food speeding up our body's resting process due to the perceived increase in weight which we have.
therefore, it isnt an ancient genetic symptom. just natural

Digesting food uses up quite a lot energy and this is bound to make you feel a bit tired. Also, do you tend to watch the Flintstones very often?

it takes energy to digest the fats that are in your food. This means that ,whilst your blood is busy in the digestive system...helpng out, there vwill be less blood flow elsewhere...hense the feeling of tiredness in the body. Since the nervous system is part of you that will have less blood..pumping round it..giving you the feeling of sleepiness

that could want to be a aspect. even with the undeniable fact that, a great number of circumstances can make contributions to fatigue. Are you getting adequate iron? i became anemic at one factor, and once i began taking iron pills my ability factor rose dramatically. Are you falling asleep immediately? If it takes you a serious era of time to bypass to sleep, then attempt to stay faraway from monitors (computer, television) for some hours previously bedtime. What time do you workout habitual? in case you workout in the morning, then that could want to advance your ability. different strategies that could want to be effective: nutrition C pills, multivitamin each morning.

Because your body is busy digesting the meal you've just eaten and it needs lots of energy to do this. So, other parts of your body are shut down to concentrate the energy where it's needed.

Every time u have some heavy food, may be its lunch r dinner, we will feel little over weighted... Thanks to the food which we are eating.. Because of that u will feel sleepy & this will make u feel that u r tired. This is my perception about it.. Opinions may differ again.. :)

You eat too much. Don't eat until you are full to the brim, leave a little gap to breath.
