im in a long distance relationship right now..how will i know if he's the right guy that i want to spend with the rest of my life or not just needing security for my future..

I think everybody would have wondered about the same question at some point in their life...
But the answer is, there is no definite answer to that ...
Nobody would really know for sure if the partner is "The One" until their last breath maybe ?
People marry because they think their partner is "The One" or the right person to spend the rest of their life with. I'm very sure, they felt that way at the point of time when the relationship is moving to the phase of near-marriage. However, marriage is a totally different milestone in life. Many things / lifestyle / habits change after marriage and couples need to get adjusted to each other's habits etc. Some made it through...some survived for couple of years and there are also some who realised that living a life together isn't exactly that easy. It takes a lot of giving in, understanding, love, patience, communication etc...
If everybody knew for sure, there would not be any divorces anymore and wouldn't that be great ?
I supposed most important of all, whatever decisions you make, you must take responsibility for your own actions / decisions and that the most important thing in life is to be HAPPY....
I'm pretty sure everybody would love to stay married with the Love of Their Life for the rest of their life. But reality bites. Fact is, sometimes circumstances change, people change, love changes...

Before I was married Iwas given the advice of "Get married to someone you can actually picture takeing and sitting next to on a 4 day Grayhound bus ride" . At the time the guy I was with he and I could barley make it out of the state without a argument

Let your mind and your heart guide you. If your heart says one thing and your mind another then you should find someone else to love. But if everything is insync then your fine. So be sure that your mind and your heart agree on how you feel for this person.
