Can a marriage work out if both husband and wife are in the military? How about if they're in 2 diffrent branches, like one in the Army, and one in the Navy?

I am in the military and marriage in the military weather to another service member or a civilian is hard work. Trust is a major factor. It works, i have seen it, but GOOD LUCK.

It can work if they want it to work. If I remember correctly a husband and wife serving in the same branch cannot serve under the same commanding officer, that's the only thing I know of other than one can get sent here & the other some place else. Hmm, Army/Navy marriage... I guess it could work, I'm not sure if I see how, but I'm sure somebody out there has probably made it work.

Well My Ex Husband and I were both Active duty in The Marine Corps, and as you see we are no longer Married. The military doesn't care if you are married or not you signed the contract and that is all that they care about. Deployments are also a big thing, we were away from each other for about 2 years. All I will say is Good Luck

All marraiges will work out if you who ever you marry is also your best friend. I have been married 28 years, spent 30 years in the Army, no my wife was a civilian, but she was there all the time, and no she didn't like everything about it.

Look, if one is in, and one is out, deployments mean they could be apart for much of the time. Why should it be different if both are in? I would think it could be easier to get assignments in the same area if they are both in the same branch of service. Otherwise, large commands and DC are the most likely place for joint assignments.

Yes, they can work. It depends on the couple more than the military or branch of service

I've seen it but it never lasted. There aren't many sea duty assignments that correspond with Army bases. And not many Army bases close to Navy bases.............
