12 Jesus went into the temple of God. He drove out all the people who were buying and selling in the temple. He threw down the tables of the money changers. He pushed down the seats of those who sold doves.

Did he use physical force? Did he yell and scream like a crazy person? Wouldn't the merchants have had guards or something to protect their goods from people trying to disrupt their sales?

Matthew 21:12

This particular scene has gained a great deal of attention because Jesus appeared to express anger - which is certainly out of sorts for him.

As far as how he did it, I think that he used Jew-jitsu. LOL

Jesus used a whip!

Joh 2:13 And the pasch of the Jews was at hand: and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Joh 2:14 And he found in the temple them that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting.

------------------------
Joh 2:15 And when he had made, as it were, a scourge of little cords, he drove them all out of the temple, the sheep also and the oxen: and the money of the changers he poured out, and the tables he overthrew.

----------------------------------

Joh 2:16 And to them that sold doves he said: Take these things hence, and make not the house of my Father a house of traffic.

Yes, That is Display of Spiritual Anger :)
Those merchants where very miserable people ...
Who ever used to come to the temple, these merchants used to talk in such a way as to make the person feel very much drowned in Sin and very repenting...
Then they used to extract money from those people as atonement for their sins ...

Jesus of course could not tolerate such cheating and displayed such Spiritual Anger... I have not heard if he was screaming but such Anger is very much proper...
We have many example of such anger by sages in Vedic Literatures ..

This same verse is referred in Nazi propaganda claiming that he "drove the Jews out of the temple".

Maybe it was Kung-Fu. Ever heard of His missing years? Maybe He spent time in the Orient.
Perhaps His aura and the focus of His intent was enough to keep anyone from trying to stop Him.

It's just a story in a storybook written decades after Jesus died, if he existed at all.

A word can do more than any "physical force".
