Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. In the final section, Gulliver arrives at a land where the horses are civilized, noble etc. and able to speak. The humanoids (called Yahoos) are primitive savages who run around half-naked and have been enslaved by the horses to do all the work, since they have hands.
This part of the book seldom gets put in children's editions since it's a long political thing about war, etc.
Swift definitely preferred horses to other humans, he felt they were nobler, more decent etc.
So maybe Yahoo! is meant to be our slave....the search engine anyway....
