You '...don't want no gay teach(er)ing my boy,' hmm. I wouldn't mind, if it makes his English pronounciation and spelling first class, I wouldn't mind if he was also African...another group who I suspect may vex you somewhat.
You sound like the classic Sun reader (yes - you must be British)...thinking paediatricians hide in bushes next to schools on sunny days!

Don't worry , the teacher is probably like the guy from ' Are you being served ' . You will have hours of fun discussing makeovers , different fabrics , men's abs and so on . On the other hand he might be one of those gays who loves violence and then you can talk about the UFC , Army and new wrestling moves. You will probably become good friends and a film will be made about the whole experience. Tom Hanks can play the role of the Gay teacher in your movie entitled ' Queer teachings ' . Your son will become the high school jock and marry the prom queen and you will become a leading figure in the Gay and Lesbian rights movement , never once loosing your own sexuality . To finish it off , you will release an album called ' looking for love in all the wrong places'

Get over it! Your son is going to grow up and there will still be gays out there and maybe even more than now. It's not like the guy is teaching him how to be gay! Your son needs to realize that everyone is different and that he should accept them for who they are. It's not right to raise your kids to be racist or prejudice. The world has enough problems and this would jsut provoke more violence in the years to come. Kids are our future and we need to raise them to make peace, not more war. If you really feel that this guy is a threat to your son and not just being prejudice against this man for his sexual preference, than I'm sure that you can change teachers. Most gays are normal people living normal lives. They are no different than the rest of us. I'm sure that he is not going to the school and talking about his sexual habits at home, no more than a teacher who is straight. I don't feel that you should worry about this. I don't think that you should be so judgemental. Maybe this gay teacher could teach you proper English considering your straight teacher didn't do it right the first time.

I cant believe that attitudes like yours still exist!! My son had a gay teacher 2 years ago and I can honestly say this was his best year at school, he learnt so much, and his confidence grew and grew. Your attitude will do your child the harm...not a gay teacher!! There is a whole world of difference between a peodophile and a gay person. I am hetrosexual, I like blokes, so does this mean I like little boys too?

First of all - get some "teachering" yourself. It's called TEACHING or LEARNING.
Secondly, have you met the teacher? Do you know 110% beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's gay? I'm assuming the answer to both of those questions is no. He may be the BEST teacher your child could have because he's totally brilliant at what he does and he keeps his lifestyle to himself and out of the classroom - which is how it should be. Before you get your panties in a twist over what this teacher may or may not do in his own time - perhaps meet him and get his educational philsophy. Because getting the best academic education for your child is what REALLY matters here.

It is always good to see someone post a question they just want to stir up the pot a little bit.
However, if I was you - and I am glad that I am not - I would have made the statement about gay teachers longer. The intentional double negative "don't want no gay" is good but too hillbilly. The intentional misspelling of "teaching" is also too hillbilly.
Any, congrats on the good idea of stirring up the pot somewhat on this topic. It should get some good laughs.

Did a straight teacher teach you to say teachering?
Hey you know, it's not like they teach the kids how to be gay in school. How do you even know the teacher's sexual preference anyway? That is his personal life.
No, your son will not be damaged by having a gay teacher but he will be damaged from learning intolerance.

The teachers sexuality has NO effect on their teaching... This may be the best teacher your child will ever have... this person has a different look on life and is probably going to be more open to the way children think and thier ideas... You shouldnt judge people based on how they live thier lives... This person could be one of the most influental people in your childs life.... BUT, if you dont like it I guess you could go to the school principal and voice your concerns POLITELY and see about getting your son moved to another class...I dont suggest going in there guns a blazing and throwing out slang terms for homosexuals... then they arent gonna listen

what makes u think that being straight is any better? it's not the persons sexual orientation that makes them a bad person. it's small minded people like u that the world should be afraid of. my child's kindergarten teacher was a gay man and he was the best teacher so far. not because he was gay but because he had a kind heart. it's people like u that make me sick to the stomach, i hope yr child grows up with a better understanding of what it means to be a good person.
