You train them just like any other dog.
I adopted mine at 3 weeks old & trained them just as I have trained my other dogs.
One thing you have to remember, they don't like loud noises or strangers, they will hide. Another thing you need to do is feed them raw meat, such as chicken. They are wild creatures & need the raw meat.
Mine are great with my cats & children, we live as one big happy family.

We have taken our males to obedience classes. They learn very well; however, our struggle is getting them to realize you want them to do it now, whatever "it" is. They profess that you have to get a dog's attention first, then give the command. Our instructor's method was a "look" command, which the dog was then supposed to make eye contact with you, at which point you then follow up with what you want. I have since resorted to snapping my fingers, instead. It works well, and mine are ok with this since they don't have to actually look at me. They seem to prefer to keep me in their peripheral vision, so they can stay focused on more important things. Anyway, I can then make a "sit" hand gesture with good results. I could go on, but this is what came to mind right away.

I know it is a lot harder to train wolf dogs. Time and patience.
