The constitution because with out it the flag has nothing to support it. The constitution up holds this country from the roots. It is what set us apart not a flag, even if it is an important symbol for us.

These days...niether, since our government is taking more and more of our rights away because the constitution is "just an old piece of paper" and the Supreme court has the power to change it through unconstitutional agencies like the IRS and BATF; as far the flag issue, the "one nation under GOD" pledge will be removed...in time...and at that time it may as well be changed over to the United Nations flag because that is what our country represents.

Constitution. It is a document that governs a huge set of laws throughout a country.

Flags are representative. Flags are much more easily changed and frankly serve only a symbolic role.

The flag is a symbol. The constitution is the rules by which we live as citizens. It is more important to have allegiance to the constitution.

US Constitution, hands down. The Flag is merely a beautiful symbol for the freedom granted us by the Constitution of 1787, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights.

I used to say you owed allegiance to your commander in chief, but since he said "the Constitution is just a god*amned piece of paper!," I put his love for America somewhere just slightly above your worst anarchist's.

James Madison is undoubtedly rolling over in his grave... and they call it "the Patriot Act." No doubt, Nathan Hale is rolling over in his grave, too, along with all our brave forefathers and every soldier in this Country's history who gave their life to protect that "god*amned piece of paper."

Definitely Constitution. Flag is a symbol, Constitution is a binding document which contains laws and...stuff. Flag doesn't tell us what to do.
