As usual those who cannot mount a credible argument bring out the racist card. they therefore demean and demote any logical arguments they might have had. The contributor hasn't even bothered to try to debate this issue. He seems not to have noticed that Islam is a universal religion with people of all races in it so by calling me racist he is truly lacking any logical integrity. He also does not deny that my statement is true (note Salman Rushdie affair). Well perhaps we might get a better level of argument than the immediate unthinking kneejerk reaction from some. I think his reaction perfectly illustrates what Islam does when it is criticised.

Er 60% of the world's population is NOT muslim. Only 1.4 bn people out of 6 bn is muslim = 25%. I have to diagree that muslims and Christians worship the same God. As has been debate here ad inifintum in the past the two Gods are VERY different with very different characters.

Mesu, no muslim so far has run after me with a gun. Though I have been threatened with death by a muslim. I think you just have to look at the furore over Salman Rushdie where thousands of UK based muslims burned his books and rallied around placards theatening to kill him. In holland Theo Van Gogh WAS killed by a muslim for expressing his opinion. While I accept that not ALL muslims will try to kill you if you disagree with the religion, there are a sufficiently large number who will. In a democracy like the UK these are values that are incompatible. In this the muslim viewpoint cannot be allowed to win over free speech otherwise we would all be the poorer in spirit for it.

aboutarchess, thanks for your considered reply. This is the graceful response i exp[ect from a true muslim rather than the knee jerk reaction from the first contributor. I suspect that as with all religions its followers do not carry out its commands. This also happens with Christianity - witness the Ku Klux Klan and Dutch Reformed Church supporting Apartheid. But as for your offer to learn about Islam, no I decline as I have already studied it and I do not believe it at all. But I have a qn for you. Why are non-muslims treated as second class citizens by law in many Islamic countries incl Saudi Arabia?

One of the devils clever manipulative disguises is to confuse other people about false doctrines and religions. Their is no excuse for killing, they use religion as an excuse. True Christianity is filled with Love, and there is no room for Hatred.

I am a born-again-Christian and really surprised at the answers you are receiving. Are they just wanting to score points or are they genuinely trying to help you. You can read all the books about all the religions in the world, but the only true one is the Bible. I don't agree with the muslim faith, because it is not a true faith. But as people I respect them but they, as we all do, need Christ in their lives.

I don't know how you stand spiritually, I can only advise you to sincerely ask Jesus Christ into your life and everything you want to know about God will eventually be revealed to you as you grow in the Christian Faith. Read the Gospels and preferably some of Pauls letters, especially the letter to the Ephesians. Satan will appear as an angel of light to confuse you, thinking and hoping that he will destroy your relationship with God, don't be taken in by this.

If you want chapters and verses then the first thing to do is read The Gospels very carefully and read Christian Literature, i.e. Life-How did it get here. But to be honest , all your answers are in the Bible. If you want a quote from the Bible, John 3 v16, Isaiah 43 V 1-3. The Sermon on the Mount, Mathew chapters 5 - 8.
Turning your life over to Christ will take courage, as an ex-soldier, I can truly identify with this. let's put it this way, if there was no God, I wouldn't be here today answering your Question, I wouldn't be alive, and that's the truth. Please identify the difference between satans manipulation, and the Truth in God. I could give you many scriptual references to your question, but the real step is finding Christ and asking him into your life. There will be no doubt about it, if you're sincere, the Holy Spirit will reveal everything to you. He loves you and wants to save you from hell and an eternity without God.

If it's guidance you need then contact you're nearest TRUE Christian Church or Christians who will explain anything you need to know.

There's no Muslim I know who wants to kill anybody. We don't believe in killing innocent people, whether they agree with Islam or not. What happened on 9/11 is hated by 99% of muslims. That was done by Islamic fundamentalists, who twist politics into Islam, and just plain misinterpret the Quran. Nowhere in the Quran does it say that we should harm people who disagree with Islam. That is made up by people who are either fundamentalists, or by non-muslims. In fact, those that know the Quran well know to look for the good in others, even if they are not from the same flock. That's what Islam really teaches, and is the motto the majority of us go by. Salam.

Thats like speaking about the Klu Klux Klan and saying why do Christians want to kill all Black people.

60% of the worlds population are Muslims, dont even start to think that every Muslim wants to kill us. It is probably less than 1 quarter of 1% of Muslims who are extremists and killers.

Firstly, not every Muslim person wants to kill someone who opposes their religion.
Secondly, it's not just the Muslim religion that your question can be applied to. The "Holy" bible actively promotes people killing those who do not follow gods laws. We can then take a look at the Crusades (A little outdated, granted, but my point still stands).
In fact most religions are built on violence in some form, but, amazingly they all try to portray one simple message: "Just get along with each other."

The problem lies not with the religion, but the people who follow it.

because they want to be the only race left on this world .........something like the islamic state ......so either you become like them or get wiped out...right now there population is close to 1.5 billion....but they would soon over take the world all muslim countries have exploding birth rates , muslim men can have 4 wives and can have many children , plus ost of the african and poor people converted to islam ...........its sad but its true ...the muslims tend to live in a state of lie, they keep on denying the fact that they have extremist tendencies and conservative ones always defend the extremist , even the conservatives who would read this question would try to write some defensive answer as in something which is written in quran , or islam is peacefull .....

That is a good question. I worked with a Muslim some years ago and we became good friends. We were discussing the holy war that was called for in the middle east. He said that does not apply to him. I asked what if his leaders here declared a holy war?
He said, "That would be a different matter", with a smile on his face.

Thanks For Your Question

Well Islam teaches Us Muslims not to kill anyone who disagrees with is in fact Islam is the only religion that clearly gives people the choice to choose their religion

God says : And say: "The truth is from your Lord." Then whosoever wills, let him believe, and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve. [18:29]

There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. [2:256]

and other verses giving the right to other to believe in whatever they like so as you see you got some misinformation about Islam , if you really want to know more about the world fastest growing religion please feel free to contact me on abouterachess@yahoo.com or visit http://islameveryday.blogspot.com

True Muslims do not want to kill people who disagree with their religion, any more than true Christians do. Both worship the same God, as you will find if you ask a true Muslim or a true Christian that question.

Terrorism and wars are really about politics but seek to use religion as their justification.

I'm sure there is a name for it, this kind of behaviour is common place in muslim marriage, relationships, and worship, i'm praying for there fredom.

They seem scared of each other i aint feelin any muslim love not even amongst themselves, sounds more like a cult than a religion.

We should all pray for them and there freedom, believe it they need it, and so do we.
