Simple:They're not English. It has to do with history. They
were shipped over here into slavery.Let's say the situation
were reversed. You were shipped to Africa into slavery
where they spoke Zulu.Would you really care that much
about speaking the perfect grammar of the Zulus.I think
not. You'd just learn enough to function in their society.

HAHAH you want to get told off, don't you? First off, if you are going to ask an inflammatory question about about race that would more than likely get a couple folks up in arms, you should correct your English. Just because your skin is pale doesn't mean you are the master of the English language.
perhaps you need a history lesson? when your ancestors brought us over here from out native land...they didn't bother to hold English as a second language classes at the local community center. We kind of had to learn the language as we went. Then just as EVERY RACE has regional dialect ( my white ex boyfriend says WARSH instead of WASH) as we spread out our "broken English"( as you say) became a little more broken because of regional dialect.
But you should never generalize or put all people under an umbrella like that. I could suppose that some black people refuse to speak proper english as a form of rebellion. Think about it. Either way...you should be a lot more careful the next time you ask a question like that.

They talk that way because they can. The dialect is from a combination of different accents.
If you haven't noticed, people from different regions pronounce words differently. I can't understand anything someone from Tennessee is saying when they are speaking English the way that they do. If is just a cultural/regional thing, dude.

The correct way to ask would be "Why can't black people speak proper English". You'd capitalize the Why and the name of the languange, English. Also, using the word "like" in the middle of your sentence is improper and is a sign of immaturity, as is your question.

Even George Bush is being accused by many for his improper English. There are a lot of white-skinned people (no offense meant - used in good sense) who cannot speak English correctly. In all probability, you are an example.

Well, hell, you're talking in " not correct english" That must mean you're black then.. right???
There are just as many white people as there are black people that do not talk properly. We all have times that we do not use proper grammer, pronounciatoin and punctuation. We all shorten words, we all use slang sometimes.

first, not all black people speak in ebonics...
ebonics is a dialect of english,
people in different areas, who speak the same language will pronounce some things slightly differently, and/or have different sayings or slang
people in the southern united states sometimes pronounce things differently than people in the northern US, we call that an accent...

Clearly it is you who can't "talk in correct english" which, by the way, is incorrect. I believe you meant "speak proper english" -- which clearly you can't. I think the question should be: "Why can't you speak proper english, or puncuate correctly for that matter?" You make me sorry to be a human being.

Why can't YOU speak using correct English!?
Generalizations on this site are killing me. Don't you
people know how to use the word "some?" I didn't
answer your question because it was pretty
damned ignorant. Was that clear enough?
