Well, Sunday became the sabbath for us because after Jesus ascended into Heaven, the apostles got together every Sunday to commemorate his death and resurrection (which occured on a Sunday). Catholics still do this till this day. The Catholic mass consists of commemorating Christs death and Resurrection Every Sunday. This is how the Sabbath got changed from Saturday to Sunday.

First you need to separate two days that you are grouping as one. The Sabbath and The Lord's Day. The Sabbath starts at sunset on Friday Night and goes to sunset on Saturday. The Lord's Day is usual celebrated on the first days for traditional, since CHRIST rose for the grave on the first day and the disciples met to break bread on the first day. Most people, even Christian make that mistake that the Sabbath and the Lord's Day is the same but it is not. I hope that help you understand why Christian meet on the first day not on the Sabbath.

Jesus spoke in the Temples on Saturday , the sabbath but met with his followers on Sunday the first day of the week. This is the day he rose from the dead and has become a sabbath. We celebrate this day and dedicate it to our Lord in worship.
In past times Christians had to worship in hiding to escape persecution

Sabbath is where God rested on the 7th day....it was because Jesus who said.." the sabbath is made for man not man for the Sabbath" so if you want to make the seventh day Sunday...why not?
the important thing is..on the seventh day of the week, Christians must leave that day for praying & rest.

We celebrate Christs resurrection. Some still worship on Saturday. ( some Catholics, Seventh Day Adventists). I think the main theme is keeping one day holy for the Lord. The sabbath day of rest was the law. Jesus fulfilled the law.

If you read the new testament, you will find that the disciples of Jesus met on the first day of the week to worship. After the death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus, the old testament law was fulfilled and we no longer lived under the law, (the ten commandments) but under grace. It then is "no longer by works that we are saved but by grace." It doesn't matter which day u worship, just worship. In fact, if u are a christian, you should be worshiping God all the time, no matter where u are or what u are doing.

Actually, there was an incident where Jesus' disciples were considered to have "worked" on a Sabbath day. Full text and answer to your question here... (I dont really want to come across as proselytising or preaching :P)

Some do. Most celebrate the Sunday because that was the day Jesus rose from the grave.

Col. 3:16
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. 19He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.
Romans 14:4-6
4Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
