Get up on the highest floor or open roof of high-rise buildings and spend some time there as often as possible(with a suitable escort). Go for rounds in merry-go-rounds in carnivals. Do bungee jumping. Travel in planes a few times. You'll be a changed person, loving plane rides all the time.

Go to your local airport. Get a "dime ride" in a small propeller plane lined up. Have a beer to calm your nerves and go fly. You'll love it. After that an airliner will seem like sitting in your living room.

I was terrified. I used to nearly cry when the engine started up and we were in the air. I've recently traveled to Canada, England, and Florida. I'm now comfortable with flying. I did it a lot!!!!
You just have to look out the window and say, "Hey, we're still in the air!" Don't worry!!!!

All you have to do is before you get on a plan you calmly think of something peaceful like a river or sitting under a tree. That would help allot.
