Some faiths worship on Saturday. The Christians changed, as Christ rose on Sunday (Easter).

There's nothing in the Bible that indicates why the change was made. Some say it's because Christ rose again on Sunday, others say it's because the calendar changed under the Caesars and Sunday became the seventh day. Don't get too hung up on the date of worship -- there is a passage in Hebrews that talks about how many of the rituals under the Law of Moses, including Sabbaths, are no longer needed now that the law has been perfected through Christ.

We have here a good example of an important Christian practice which does not depend on Holy Scripture but on Tradition.

What is meant by “Tradition” is that teaching which was given to the apostles by Jesus or inspired to the apostles by the Holy Spirit and handed in to the Church through another channel than the Bible.

It’s what Paul taught when he said in the Second Letter to the Thessalonians : "So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter" (2:15).

God’s revelation to mankind is twofolded : a written part (the Bible) and an oral part (the teachings of the first Christians who had received those divine traditions). A Christian needs both.

No. There is none. In scripture we are never instructed to let go of the 10 Commandments of God but so few people of the modern church understand that because they have been led away to follow after doctrines of men. It was preached in the Gospels and throughout the Epistles that there would be anti-christ and wolves in sheeps clothing to come about and lead people astray. We are warned often against following after the "laws" of men..which is why Jesus came to seek and save the lost to begin with and to call His people out of Babylon (the City of Confusion). The Jewish leaders had burdened people with man made laws so much that it was impossible for anyone to feel free of sin. Yet Christ provided that sacrifice for us so that would be led to strive toward a faith and a hope in His life, His death and His resurrection as He places Himself in our stead. Its there though..the mark of a true believer and its hard...I grieve within myself knowing how hard it is to keep even just those 10 seemingly simple laws of God. To be summed up, Jesus said to Love God with all your heart and that means to worship Him in truth and in Spirit...in effect if you keep other days sacred you are, even unknowingly, adhering to a pagan day of worship. Its all there and if you study the Sabbath at length you will have discovered a secret that will lead you into a faith so fantastically strong nothing could shake you from it. I know this cuz I'm in it...The Sabbath points to the perfection of creation, in obedience and trust, if you tythe that time (not including sleep it exactly 10% or 16 hours from sun set Friday to sunset Saturday) to God by focusing on Him (His Creation and His Word was made flesh ~ Jesus Christ for all things were made through Him, by Him and for Him) He will remain in you and you will remain in Him (The Church). His blood is the wine (sacrifice) and His body is the bread (Daily Bread - Scripture). Partaking of this blessed communion keeps you in the Kingdom of God. You can tythe that time with your family or doing something for someone else..studying and in prayer..abstaining from worldly activities including work and entertainments. You will find your heart excited at the thought as Sabbath approaches...God bless you that you have been led to question this understanding..Love in Christ, ~J~
