Hypothetical question: Let's say this person goes to hell, and I go to heaven. Wouldn't it be a punishment for me, because we'll be separated forever?

This is assuming that you are going to heaven right? How do you know that you will not be going to the same hellhole? And shouldn't you wonder - why would you want to spend with someone who's going to hell?

Wouldn't you rather say, what if he goes to heaven and you go to hell instead of the other way round, if you really love that person. Any way I am going to answer the question as I have phrased it. when the person gets to heaven and you in hell, it won't be a punishment for him/her because in heaven he will have a lot of things that will occupy his mind. Then try to be in heaven with the your person, for sure heaven is real and hell is real. Bye

Every person is responsible for there own eternity. God created hell for the Devil and the Angels that were cast out of heaven with him. The only reason anyone goes to hell is because he chooses to.

hell? no one goes, they receive it from heaven to get erased from existance at their resurrection. You really wouldn't know If your loved on isn't such person, but if it was have pity. In my belief it's only people who love hurting life without remorse and don't want to change that recieve death. It's continual loss on sin and no repentance. It's a choice.

your salvation has nothing to do with someone else. your salvation depends on whether you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior. if you have, then you fall under the commission to share this truth with the one you love. if they accept this truth. then they too will be saved. if they deny it, then you have done your part. all you can do is sow the seed. it is up to the Holy Spirit to convict the heart.

Existance in heaven and the Glory of God is so great that it will overshadow any and all past worldly desires. there is no fear, no tears, no pain, and no sorrow in heaven.

everyone has a different opinion. Someone once told me that your mind will be washed so that you don't worry about others like that.

wtf?

thus ending my belief in heaven and hell.

In Heaven, people aren't married. Some believe that in Heaven that we won't remember those that aren't there, but I don't believe that. But again, the way to Heaven is an individual choice.

Yes. You will both go to hell in a handbasket together, even though your handbasket might go to the penthouse and the other person's to the basement. It is your own private sort of handbasket hell.

Your question assumes the reality that a place like hell exists. This is where you need to reconsider what you have been thinking.

first of all if you already know that your lover is doing something wrong and never warned him to repent you will go to hell also.

second thing is there is no such seperate or worldly love feelings in heaven and you wont feel punished...
