Not sure of the salaries. However, I do know that many idustrial companies that do work for oil/petroleum companies are having a hard time finding skilled engineers in the United States. There is a labor shortage of engineers so I think that would be good for someone like you.

The USA only produces about 400 petroleum engineers a year. The work force of petroleum engineers is an old, and new engineers move up quickly.

Supply and demand always drives salaries up or down. The demand does vary on industry and differs from one geographic region to the next. On the average I would rate from highest to lowest:
Chemical
Electrical
Computer Science
Mechanical
Civil

The difference may range from a thousand to tenth of thousand in US dollars.

Just keep in mind that money is not everything and should not be the determining factor in choosing a career.
