I HAVE USED DIFFERENT CARTRIDGES FOR THE INK, THIS TIME I USED BLACK DIAMOND, BUT ALL THE INK CARTRIDES ARE COMPATERBLE WITH MY STYLUS, WHY ON THIS OCCASSION IS THE RED WARNING LIGHT STAYING ON AFTER I HAVE CHECKED AND TRIED TO RESET THE INK.

MANUFACTURE ARE PUTTING MORE DATA CHECKS ON THERE EQUIPMENT TO STOP US USING CHEAPER COMPATIBLE ITEMS AND NOT THEIR EXPENSIVE ORIGINALS

I used a compatible cartridge with my epsom and it completley ruined it. I also made the guarantee void by using a compatible ink. If you have it under gaurantee and have the original cartridge ,take it back to where you got it from and don't tell them you used a compatible ink in it..(Compatible inks clog up) if this isn't the problem read the maufactorers guide on how to clean the stylus

hi there,i have the same printer being an epson 220 stylus.yes the original cartridges are not cheap.this printer i have was bought on the 29/12/05.the compatible cartridges i use is data write.which i have used all the time from when i bought the printer.i can give you details of where i get them from,if you email me.the price is for them £5.99 for a full set and one extra black free.i have had no problems whatsoever.

That is what happened to me when I used the compatible ink for my C82... I have called ten places to get the printer fixed, but because the printer are so cheap now, no one wants to fix them--they all suggested buying a new one. Sorry to bring the bad news, but it looks like that what you will have to do too... :( I am with you on this one...
