Cabbage:

with all due respect--you're nuts. nobody in their right mind worries about being filmed all the time.

think about it.

i have so much on my plate nowadays, that i find myself practically chasing my tail all day in order to get something done and marked off my sadistic, nagging planner. watching you get undressed on video--or anyone else get undressed on video ranks about 99'th place on my top TEN list!

put this silly worry of yours to bed! no one has the TIME to watch you on video!

You aren't mad! That's such an awful term. Nor are you crazy either. It does sound as if you are suffering from some delusional thoughts that aren't based on reality. You could be exhibiting symptoms of schizophrenia or another form of mental illness with paranoid symptoms. You need to see a psychiatrist and be evaluated. There are really good medications that can help. Once you figure out what you're dealing with, you can get support and education to help you understand and learn to deal with the symptoms. Life can be better and much less stressful.

If you have any thought of suicide, self-harm or of harming anyone else you need to call 911 or go to the hospital.

It can be serious but it's not the end of the world. There's help and hope.

I dont wana sound rude or anything but maybe your taking this a bit far. There is no doubt that there is surveillance around in public areas but in the comfort of your own home you shouldnt be worried about being watched. I think maybe your paying to much attention to films like The Truman Show, The Matrix and Enemy of the State.

Best of luck

What an awful way to live....

I used to be somewhat like that when I was a teenager. It was long before The Truman Show and pinhole cameras though, so I *knew* I was just letting my imagination get the best of me.

What helped me finally get over it was realizing that nobody really cares...everybody is so caught up in their own life, they really don't pay attention to the details of others except when they're trying to be nice.

"Who cares about this but me?" became my mantra for awhile. I would repeat it in the shower. I would repeat it whenever I changed my clothes or was in a situation where I felt exposed. I internalized it. It helped alot.

Turn a negative into a positive... "all the world's a stage".

Present yourself as the star of your own movie. Each day is another "act". Every 'major life event' like weddings or graduations is another movie. You can invite people into your sphere of influence. You are the director and the producer!

Show your repertoire--as a dramatic actress or stand-up comedy actress!

Hey, remember you're in control!

Open the windows of your heart deliberately wide to allow all the blessing of God to enter into you and your love to go out to reach all that is there in the outside world be they living things or non-living things. Accept to take criticism with a smile and welcome more of such comments. Return the compliments or brickbats in the same token, but in refined sophistication. One thing is sure, nothing happens to us as long as we keep ourselves outside. Only when we are closeted within four walls, physical or metaphysical; or when we deliberately build walls around us, we tend to feel the lack of space to escape in case of danger. Assume that you are a well-known person who does not need his ID, merely tells his name or just shows up. If one can develop the above kind of attributes and psyche, it is easy not to be paranoiac. Step out of your body everyday during prayers to check whether your windows are open wide into the balcony for everyone to see.

I know of a father who had two daughters who looked like weightlifting twin champions and not attractive either as though they give a terror to onlookers and no one cared to eye them. Still the father, a friend of mine, was so paranoiac about their safety, appointed a judo/ martial arts trainer to give them martial arts training to enable them protect themselves from imaginary eve-teasers.

I was just like that as a teenager. I have a very active imagination. Still think like that sometimes, but I just crack myself up. Also thought if I tried hard enough, I could move things with my mind.
Embrace your imagination, you will grow into it.

No you are young, self conscious, don't have enough to do and have a strong imagination. You are quite typical. Don't relay that fear to your friends...they'll lough...and act like you are paranoid and they are perfect. It a TV show...don't watch if if it has that effect on you. Focus on your homework and getting good grades.
