My 06 tj doesn't have anything (sticker behind the front guard) saying anything about being trail rated. I have, however, seen some low spec wranglers (tj) that have that little round trail rated sticker. Am i right in assuming that it means nothing ? Oh, and i not talkin about rubicons. just standard tj's. I was just wondering............................

Don't anyone make fun of the guy puttin on that medallion as you see there is a hole on the other side for the antenna...Hmm is there a hole under the sticker....NO. I met the guy when I was updating some PLC's in the Jeep Plant in Toledo, and that guy makes 20-30 bucks and hour putting that little sticker on.

The Trail Rated® badge means that your Jeep 4x4 has been designed to perform in five categories of off-road conditions: traction, ground clearance, maneuverability, articulation, and water fording.

A random Jeep of every model is sent to a military test site in Nevada to test those conditions. If that particular model passes it gets Trail Rated.

Trust me your TJ is Trail Rated, all Wranglers are Trail Rated! The Jeeps not Trail Rated are 2WDs and Jeeps that don't have a Low Range 4X4 (4 low).

It's a marketing thing but it is accurate...all the jeeps with them(grand cherokee, commander, liberty, wrangler) have completed the famous Rubicon trail during the testing by Jeep. Its jeeps' marketers way of separating jeeps from mall cruising suv's..at least they have proven off road prowess.

It means the dealership suckered someone other than you into paying more for the same jeep. Good job!

It means that Madison Avenue is doing their job.
It means nothing and is just a trim package.
