The Name Jesus is used at least 611 times in the 4 Gospels with Christ a mere 49, with the odds at 12 to 1, and, Presto! 13.
Why not Jesusians?
Christians chant Jesus, not Christ, & Christ is used to express disgust or as a swear word, while Jesus, surprise or disbelief.
Why Jesus for the Son of Jehovah Jah when there is no Sus in Jah or Jehovah but Zeus is evident in the name that was written for one accused of saying he was a King and the Son of God?
Why did Pilate, who worshipped Zeus, write Jesus King of the Jews and not Jehovah or Immanuel or Eli or Jah, and why is Sus pronounced Zoss and not Zeus when it is taken from the Greek and when it was written in Greek and Latin and Hebrew?
If Jupiter is Latin for Zeus and Jesus is not a Hebrew name, then, is Jesus Latin, Greek and Hebrew with Je for Jah and Jupiter and Sus for Zeus, or did King James try to claim the credit for what Pilate created or to hide the fact that Christians worship the Sun God Zeus on Sundays?

For those who do not "see" whats in the Bible, check out ZEUS in Acts of the Apostles 14:12 & 13, and in case you dont know it, Zeus becomes Jupiter in Latin, and some versions of the Bible use Jupiter to cover up the ZEUS.
So many of you miss the forest for the trees, and Satan covers the eyes of the fool and makes him see only what he wants him to see.
I have been called a magician before, for pulling ZEUS out of a hat, but when I guided the young man to Zeus in his own Bible, he never spoke another word to me and he walked away with his head down.

Christians was actually a nickname that was for those who were preaching a risen Zeus in Antioch JeZeus, who was crucified on Friday evening and rose again Three Days Later on Sunday morning early.
The problem with this risen JeZeus is that he would not have risen three days later on Monday because Monday was the Moon's Day while they must claim the Resurrection on Sunday for this new Zeus who was Greek/Hebrew/Latin in a Trio for the reformed Mithraism.
And the nickname came from those who worshipped Zeus, with the priest of Zeus calling Barnabus, Zeus.
So Christians definitely do not worship the Hebrew Christ or Messiah but the Greek/Latin/Hebrew Jesus, which makes of them worshippers of the Sun God Zeus, in reality.
So, make your wishful statements but stay away from the Truth of the Bible, since it is mixed in with the Greek mythology.
Start thinking seriously and stop yourselves having to make foolish excuses when you know you keep making bigger fools of yourselves.

Too many questions. One at a time please!
Ok, the moniker "Christ-ian" came from unbelievers in Antioch in the first century, who used that label to identify the followers of "The Way", the people who followed Jesus Christ. It is like identifying someone from another "country" or "city" (or clan!) ; America(n), Brit(ian), Antioch(ian), Rome(an), Judea(n), etc. It may have been used as an insult, or just as an easier reference. IDK.
"Jesus", as a name, was not uncommon in 1st Century Judea. It is actually the Greek form of "Joshua", and was probably actually pronounced "Yeshua". All of these variants mean "G*d is Salvation". You would want to know which "Jesus" you were talking about, hence going by the title "Christ" (Greek for "annointed one"). "Christ", btw, was not a surname, it was a title of honor, like "Doctor" or "Rabbi".
"Jehovah" was not a Jewish name for God. It was a later German mis-pronounciation of the Jewish Tetragramaton YHWH (pronounced "Yah-way"). Originally the Jewish language, when written, had no vowels. The vowels were added later, and the rules are a bit different. The vowel-points added to "YHWH" are technically UNPRONOUNCEABLE with the consonants as they are represented. The whole point is, that G*d's name cannot be spoken by men, or properly represented in print, lest it be taken in vain (used improperly).
Pilate's actions with the title on the cross, was a backhanded stab at the leading priests of the day, who had demanded Jesus' crucifixion. If you will recall, the priests tried to demand that Pilate change the inscription, and he refused.
Hope this helps.

Jesus is the earthly name of God the Son.
Christ was His title. Christ is the English form of the Greek word Χριστός (Christós), which means literally The Anointed One. The word was originally used to translate the Hebrew word מָשִׁיחַ (Mašíaḥ), that is Messiah, as the Jewish understanding of their Messiah was that he would be specially annointed by the Holy Spirit to save all mankind.
Pilate used Jesus' name and title "King of the Jews" to tell the Jews that this was what happen when people tried to oust the Romans.
With love in Christ.

Whew! You go Mythkiller!
Lessee...
Jesus was His name, the Christ was what He was.
Most Christians don't swear, using Jesus or Christ.
No clue about Zues. I imagine that's your forte.
Pilate was making a joke. He no sooner believed that Jesus was the King of the Jews than the man in the moon. It was a political statement.
The name "Jesus", as far as I know, was imparted to Mary & Joseph in dreams, from the angels & God.
Lastly, Christians don't worship God on Sundays, in particular. we worship Him every day.
Nice questions though. Give you an 8 for originality.

because all of Protestantism became initially in accordance with a "the Catholic Church is inaccurate" doctrine. So once you commence with that, something Catholics do diverse from them should be incorrect. at the same time as confronted with quite innovations that what Catholics do isn't incorrect, they could settle for this and then open the door to the prospect that we are no longer incorrect about different issues, or they could carry close tightly to their misconceptions believing in the journey that they basically save repeating it again and again it is going to likely be so. Many pick the latter. For those human beings the Catholic Church should be incorrect in any respect expenses. they couldn't ever settle for there might want to easily be validity to asking Mary to wish for us, confession, and finally the Eucharist. If that exceeded off that that they had ought to leave their gentle beliefs and their entire existence might want to replace. this variety of vast quantity of solutions right here "say" that what we are saying and what we "do" are diverse. Please tell me how everybody can comprehend what's in the middle of a Catholic asking Mary to wish for him/her. basically God and the man praying can comprehend the motive in the middle, others on the exterior can no longer and may no longer. We comprehend that it may appear like worship to those who do no longer carry close it, yet when we are saying that couldn't what we are doing, we adore God and may want to by no skill worship everybody yet him, why no longer settle for this? Why insist that you comprehend more desirable helpful than we do, basically what we are doing? further: to love by no skill Fails - Mary and the Saints are in heaven. They, nor everybody who attains heaven, will be human any more desirable. In heaven we change into perfect, no longer divine, yet perfect. they're actually not restricted through their flesh, so your actuality makes no experience.

Your expertise in names origin is beyond mine but what I know is that the young boy was called Jesus, as He grew older he was referred to as the Christ, or saviour. Upon His death His followers were known as Christians. It was as an offshoot of Judism that these Christians came about. In later years more splits in the Christian faith became the Catholic and the Protestant wings, with the Protestants containing many differing names like Methodist, Anglican, Baptist and so on, whereas the Catholics divided into the Eastern Orthodox right and the Catholic. It is my belief that Jesus is the son of God and one of the commandments passed down to Moses was, Thou shalt not use the name of the Lord Thy God in vain. This then forbids the use of Christ or Jesus in either of the above examples that you listed as swear words. To blame ones own stupidity on is rather idiotic anyway and shows the moron status of the user. Have a great day, for the Lord has given it to us to enjoy.

Both Catholics and Protestants consider themselves Christians , those who follow Christ teachings. Catholics that is Roman Catholics follow the pope in Rome who is from the line of Peter. The church gets it authority directly from Jesusfor it is written in Matthew 16-19+ that Jesus gave Peter the keys to heaven and whatever laws Peter made would be bond in heaven. From this decree came the line of popes to the present day.
In the 1500's came Martin Luther German monk who became upset the church's use of selling indulgences to gain favor in heaven. Of this was wrong and Martin Luther wrote out a list of wrongs and put them up on the Roman doors for everyone to see. He broke away from the church and was also excumunicated. That is kick out of the church . Martin Luther started his own church the Lutherans. Therefore he started the ProtestantReformation, those who protest against the Roman Catholic church.

England revolted against the vatican many years ago, but not against the bible, they just didnt like papal rule, someone in another country telling them how to live their lives. So they created the protestant religion ( ive read that it was created by king henry the 8th who wanted to divorce his wife instead of beheading her, as divorce is not allowed in the catholic religion, he created his own, protestant, or church of england)
Although they have many names now, a lot of religions are based on the bible but choose not to answer to the vatican. But they follow the same doctrine as each other in the sense they all believe in the bible and follow the ten commandments

The term "Christian" is found in the bible and has divine origins. The term is found in three passages in the Christian Greek Scriptures (the so-called "New Testament").
(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.
(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”
(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name
Interestingly, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review the passages above and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"
This evidence persuades many sincere bible students to conclude that Jehovah's Witnesses are unequivocally true Christians.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded
Of course, anyone can claim to be a Christian but such claims mean little to Christ Jesus.
(Matthew 7:20,21) Really, then, by their fruits you will recognize those men. “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.

I use "Christ" all the time in a positive light. And never EVER use it in vain!
Oh yeah we are called Christians because we believe in Christ. Plus I am a 7th Day Adventist and don't believe that Sabbath is on Sunday. It says clearly in the Bible that the 7th day is the Sabbath not the 1st day.

We are Christians because we are all followers of the Christ.
The subdivisions, breakaways and different denominations, including those declared as non-denominational are all variants according to faith-practice, rites, etc.
The various other words and slangs and names are the result of cultural and language changes and have nothing to do with the faith practice. It is not useful to make sense of or connect this non related facts.
