I have cleveland TA6 irons and I keep them in the back of my car. I live in western PA where the summers are hot and humid and I'm getting little rust specs on the shafts and the grooves of the clubs. Is this bad leaving them in my car 24/7? Any tips on how to prevent this and remove the rust?

My prevention tips:

1. Inspect the club heads regularly in between the holes, especially after a bunker stroke.

2. Wash them off with some water - so take along an additional bottle of water.

3. Brush out the grooves with a soft brush.

4. Then rub them dry with a towel because otherwise the grass and sand will stick to them again right away.

5. Always put back the woods in your bag protected by headcovers.

6. If you are no longer able to brush or soak your lady golf club heads clean, a fine steel wool brush may offer relief. Do this quietly and carefully!

Rusty...

I'd recommend not leaving them in your car for an extended period of time.
I live in the Midwest and do, on occasion, keep them in my car for some extended periods of time, but what I do to prevent any type of rust, which has happened, is take a rag with a very light dusting of Vaseline and wipe them down.

It not only cleans them, but keeps them in good shape. It also disciplines me to clean my clubs regularly. Plus, find some head covers to top them off!

Hope this helps!

Leave them at the club house where the attendants clean them.
They may put some oil on them after removing the rust!
You may want to spray paint them in the color of your choice!

Don't leave them in the car! If they get wet, dry them off.
