Some atheists hate religions, some don't. I'm an atheist and I don't hate religions, but I know some who do.
What most of us have in common though is that we hate when religion is being shoved down our throats or when we're being forced to live by the rules of some religion when they don't make sense to us and even seem pure wrong to us morally.
I don't think it's possible to generalize about the intelligence of people according to their religion. Each individual is different.

No I don't hate religions. But I do hate religion infiltrating our school systems and laws.
No one group is more intelligent than anyone else. Although I've seen a lot of ignorant christians on this site, who simply give their religion a bad name.

an atheist neither hates or likes a religion since they have no religious belief in a divine entitiy. they are completely neutral in their belief. what an atheist hates is being bombarded by my brothers and sisters who berate them and tell them that they are going to hell and never take the time to understand why the atheist believes as they do.
sadly, what we get on this forum are a bunch of christian hating mongrels who pretend to be atheist, but are in fact looking to bait us into silly discussions that they will ignore anyway, as they only want to promote hate between religious and non-religious factions.
more intelligent? not really. as a christian and a scientist, i know many, many intelligent christians AND atheists. neither is more intelligent than the other, as a whole.

Just because I don't believe in God, does not mean that I hate religion.
Which religion I dislike the most is personal to me, and is not related to the fact I am an atheist - I am sure many feel differently to me, and hold totally different opinions regarding the world religions.
Is atheism really such a strange concept to you?

Some probably do - especially if they've had bad experiences from religion in their lives - but most just regard it as irrelevant, I think.
There does seem to be a negative correlation between intelligence (or maybe level of education) and religiosity.

I don't think that you can generalize and say either of your questions is true. Even if you do not believe in God, people's belief in God has done a lot of good. For example. some people are better people because of the support they get from church. People work a program of self betterment because of ideals they subscribe to from their religion. Of course, a lot of terrible things have happened because of religion too....

"Logic says that you can't hate what you don't believe in. "
Athiests don't believe in god or the teachings of religion. That doesn't mean they don't believe religion doesn't exist. You need to check up on your "logic."
Yes, Athiests do hate religion because it is generally counterproductive for surrendering critical thinking to faith.
I wouldn't say Athiests are more intelligent. I would argue that generally (from what I've seen) they are more inquisitive and educated.

well, i hate religion and all the strings that are attatched to it more than I hate the idea of god. people disprove god with religion facts all the time, but I have yet to hear someone disprove god himself.
i also dont think that athiests are more or less intelligent than believers, they just have more common sense.

No. They simply don't believe in them. Which ones do they "Hate" most? I'd say the ones that ignore their rights to live as they wish by trying to force their religious beliefs into laws and policies to govern them/
