Cats are really cool unless they're lying in the sunshine in the middle of a summer's day on hot tarmac - then they're hot, hot, hot! ;O)

Actually, it's hot for cats too, but they show it in more delicate ways - dogs, for example, will pant and salivate, but cats will pant just a little bit when they really overheat - but will rest more and be more reluctant to do things.
How I know my cat is hot? He doesn't mind if I wet him, and plays with pieces of ice with a lot of will.
It just takes observation. It's not really cool for cats. Even though they evolved on the hot plains of Africa...

Cats always look so cool. Even when they fall over- their quick thinking and stylish ways manages to turn a stumble into a new way of washing their feet.
Cats look so proud of themselves when they manage to lick their backs.... they do it right in front of humans to show off.
And then there's that whole landing on the feet thing- you've got to respect them for that!

I don't like cats, they eat pretty little birds, however I would never do anything to harm the animal.

We have four so far. Cats are AWSOME. Our parrot imitates them all the time around feeding time
