Because they've been taught from a young age that subserviance to men is a good thing. Many religions, including Christianity, are very patriarchical. So, their very society pushes this idea. Even now, if you listen to Christian radio, it promotes the idea that a woman's place is in the home, cooking and taking care of children. They are against women having their own careers.

Some of the Bible was written for the people of the time, it seems women were calling out in church to the men to be told the meaning of scripture, that's what the author referred to. I'm in a church that's considered to be sexist but I have led a cell group, on my own, and been to preacher training and encouraged to seek god's will for my life. Women are exalted in the Bible, remember God's creation was not complete without Eve, the pinnacle of creation was a woman. Also Jesus first revealed His true self (Messiah) to a woman, and he had many women among his disciples and followers. The reason I now believe men are the head of the church (and the home if the husband is Christian) is because they are accountable to God for what we are taught and the way our kids are raised. God is protecting us by making men bear that load! I used to be a man-hating feminist so this was an amazing thing to get my head around, but it's nice to know too. Don't know where you got the stuff about women being above men in heaven, but my understanding is that we are equal but different.

purely to describe from a Catholic attitude: the Rapture is a protestant invention presented about because of the very truth protestants do not have the Mass. it extremely is sweet, the Mass. The e book of Revelation (or The Apocalypse) is a e book depending on the Mass and is in ordinary terms about not available to appreciate with out understanding the Catholic liturgy. Revelation explains that the liturgy we rejoice in Mass is an actual participation contained contained in the Heavenly Liturgy it extremely is being celebrated in any appreciate circumstances (and could be in Heaven continuously). So in case you do not realize the Mass, you've a tendency to substantiate the e book of Revelation as in ordinary terms a complicated rationalization of the end of time. and exciting human options like the Rapture are invented to describe it. it extremely is major to computer screen that the Rapture is more often than not a twentieth century concept, with little to no precedent for the conception. At this aspect in time there are multiple variations of the conception contained contained in the rapture: pre-millennial, submit-millennial, even those who're extremely mid-millennial. So what's the very truth? Jesus Christ will come on the end of time and separate the wheat from the chaff, taking the wheat to heaven. those who have not performed holiness, yet at the on the spot are not in mortal sin, will be perfected through way of purgatory. Pray that through way of the Sacraments, all persons replace into wheat for Jesus.

You're getting the wrong people to answer your question by the looks of it. You are also misinterpreting the Word of God. The Bible is the only Truth. Once you have a personal relationship with God, nobody or nothing can challenge your faith. Believe me, I know my God is real and I can help you if you need to know more, or put you in touch with the appropriate people, You just have to ask. God does not favour men over women, I think I know more Christian females than I do males. So I don't understand how you interpreted that one
To be honest, are you sure you know what you are asking. I really believe you've misinterpreted your quote about True born-again-Christians. What sex you are is irrellevant! I can only advise you to sincerely ask Jesus Christ into your life and everything you want to know about God will eventually be revealed to you as you grow in the Christian Faith. You see you can go to the graves of all your false prophets and Buddha, Miohammed etc. and dig up their remains, but go to Christ's tomb and it's empty, why? because He Rose from the dead.
Openmindly, read the Gospels and preferably some of Pauls letters especially the letter to the Ephesians. Once you have experienced this tremendous understanding of God's Will for you, Satan will appear as an angel of light to confuse you, thinking and hoping that he will destroy your relationship with God, don't be taken in by this.
Read Christian Literature, i.e. Life-How did it get here. The Cross and the Switchblade by David Wikerson, Run Baby Run by Nicky Cruz and The Late Great Planet Earth by Hal Lindsay. But to be honest , all your answers are in the Bible. I can help you if you want, you only have to ask! You want a quote from the Bible, John 3 v16, Isaiah 43 V 1-3. The Sermon on the Mount, Mathew chapters 5 - 8.
Turning your life over to Christ will take courage, I am an ex-soldier, I can truly identify with this. let's put it this way, if there was no God, I wouldn't be here today answering your Question, I wouldn't be alive, and that's the truth. Please, learn to identify the difference between satans manipulation, and the Truth in God. I could give you many scriptual references to your question, but the real step is finding Christ and asking him into your life. There will be no doubt about it, if you're sincere, the Holy Spirit will reveal everything to you. He loves you and wants to save you from hell and an eternity without God.
If it's guidance you need then contact you're nearest true Christian Church, myself, or Christians who will explain anything you need to know. Remember we (True Born-Again-Christians) love everyone of all ages and of both sexes.

Bible was written at the time of a male dominated society.Jesus has never discriminated between men and women. There is no bar on women becoming priests. Most of the religions are male dominated. In Islam even women are not allowed to enter mosque. In Hindu cult in some temples there are women priests. But they are few.It is high time religious practices are to be reviewed to suit modern life.I am sure God will not discriminate between men and women or any of his creations.

Due to Eve's part in Adam's sin, God said this:
Gen 3:16 To the woman also he said: I will multiply thy sorrows, and thy conceptions: in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children,
-----------------------------------------------
and thou shalt be under thy husband's power, and he shall have dominion over thee.
------------------------------------------------
The first last and the last first doesn't refer to this situation.
More likely, it refers to many other common circumstances extant in the world, and to the Jews and the Gentiles.
The Jews were the first to receive the knowledge, and even the person of Christ, yet they rejected him.
Now, the Gentiles, who received that knowledge last, are first in God's grace.

Adam was created before Eve but that doesn't mean he was superior to Eve. Also, Adam was just as deceived as Eve and that's why he ate the fruit.
In Christ, men and women are equal (Galatians 3:28). Both female and male believers in Christ are kings and priests unto God (Revelation 1:6) and God calls Christian women and men to ALL offices of ministry within the Church. In a few places of the bible, Paul spoke for himself and not for God (a couple of examples are found in 1 Corinthians 11:6 and 1 Timothy 2:12). In 1 Timothy 2:12, Paul said that he (not God) forbade women to teach men. In the Bible we see that God called many women to be leaders and teachers of men, women and children: prophets (Miriam, Deborah, Huldah, Isaiah’s wife, Philipp’s four daughters), military leader and judge (Deborah), disciples (Mary, Martha, Joanna, Mary Magdalene, Susanna, and “many more”), deacon (Priscilla), and church leader (Lydia).
Furthermore, in Acts 2:17-18 it says:
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
In the Church, God calls many Christian women to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors (or "shepherds") and teachers of men, women and children.
Ephesians 5:22 instructs wives to submit to their husbands, however the verse before tells us that ALL Christians (both male and female) should equally submit themselves to one another:
Ephesians 5:21
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Both husband and wife must respectfully submit to one another. Neither is superior.
Ephesians 5:25 instructs husbands to love their wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it
If the husband isn't loving and righteous, then the wife should not submit to him because as Christians, we are to obey God not men.
On 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, it is understood that men should also stay silent while the preacher whether female or male is preaching, and if they missed or didn’t understand something, they should wait until later to ask their wives or a fellow brother or sister in Christ or do their own study. The main lesson is to not interrupt the service.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Without God, the spiritual part of the human being is dead (Ephesians 2:5, Colossians 2:13). The sin of our first parents (Adam and Eve) caused the separation between God and man. Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Sin causes us to be separated from God which results in spiritual death. Christ, the 2nd Person of the Triune Godhead was made flesh (through the immaculate conception) and paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross so we could through faith in Christ as our Saviour be instantly redeemed and united to God and have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who teaches us, comforts us and grants us fruits to live in righteousness and gifts to help and edify the Church. There is no redemption or unity to God apart from receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as one’s Saviour and Lord.
REDEMPTION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
Because mankind is incapable of meeting God’s standard of perfection necessary to abide in God’s presence (Romans 3:19-20,23), God sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the total debt for the believer’s sins and mercifully credits to his account Christ’s righteousness (Romans 3:21-28,5:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Jesus’ gracious act of atonement was complete and covers all sin (Colossians 2:13-14; 1 John 1:9). Salvation is not based on good deeds but according to the mercy of God (Titus 3:4-5). Believers are justified by faith; it is a gift by God’s grace (Romans 4:3-8; Ephesians 2:8-9). A true, living faith will result in a desire to live a holy, loving life of good works (Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:6; James 2:14-26), but failure to be absolutely successful at righteous living does not negate the believer’s justified status.
If you sincerely say this prayer, your sins will be washed away, you will be redeemed to God, be saved from eternal torment and inherit the Kingdom of God:
"Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. I repent of my sins. Please forgive me and save me by your shed blood. Come into my heart. I want to receive you as my own personal Lord and Savior. Amen"
