most teachings from all religions dont pass the test of modern human rights. so whats wrong with criticising them? and what is the use of any religion that does not want to change its ideology to fit in with the ethics of the 21st century?
what purpose does it serve us by going back to the 7th century desert tribal customs?

It's called MONEY...i myself believe that there is a higher power. It might not fit the mold of what catholics, christain, wiccans, and other religions protray it. But I do believe that there is a higher power... But i still believe most of what most religions teach and preach is more for the Collection Plate dues then anything else. That's how they pay there bills!

This is one of the first question I am seeing by you that is not insulting Islam and is actually a very very good question.

If we burn each and every religious book in the world. I have a feeling that that will still not help accepting each others minds and ideology.
The scriptures I believe are meant to be taken to get inspirations not literal. They are supposed to serve the purpose of unity but end up being weapons of wackjobs to fulfill their hate and the sad part is most of them possess about half the knowledge or even less about their own faith, let alone others'.

You can pick any religion and if a person is really religious, he is too busy praying to his God and serving his family that even an idea of hurting someone sounds like a story of fairies.

Now the current wave of hate we see in today's world has more to do with being superior than actually religions but sadly many are using religions to justify their hate against each other.

Start from world war 1 and see from there what I am trying to say here and all I can ask is don't be the part of this on going hate because if you even if you never get to see this hate, someone else might become a victim as the result of your words.

Exactly. How come these "respectable" people listen to and take heed from a historical book written by people who they would consider ignorant peasants- knowledge-wise, in this day and age.
If i wrote a similar book, they would dismiss it as a blasphemous
work of fiction. I will say that they retain the same historical ignorance to perfection. Surely not all traditions can be good.
After all, they can't even agree on it's meaning. It's like the work by Nostradamus. And even his work is formed in such a way that imbeciles can't figure it out for fear of manipulating it for their own purlposes.
The bible is just as puzzling. Everything changes. Clear facts are what we need. Not ancient tall stories mixed in with facts re-edited by jealous kings' . Any book editor would surely say "needs work, don't come back until it's almost credible".

that is area of the outcomes we would desire to stand through fact of their failure. we can all think of of examples the place one individual's habit led to very severe outcomes for people who had no longer something to do with the determination made. I truly have confidence that although if Adam and Eve hadn't made certainly one of those tragic mistake, ultimately somebody would have. God gave us loose will and which ability we've the possibility to make the two good possibilities and undesirable. besides, i won't be able to think of how undesirable it would desire to've been for the 1st guy and lady to flow from residing in suited unity with God, one yet another, and all of introduction--no soreness, tears, anger, in basic terms alluring days of exploration and laughter and peace--to residing in a harsh international crammed with toil and grief. And to make it worse, God no longer walked the earth with them, no longer got here down just to flow to. To have each and every thing then lose all of it looks to me worse then by no ability understanding how suited existence would desire to be interior the 1st place. i do no longer understand for constructive that our "try" is lots harder. Adam and Eve did no longer have pages and pages of scriptures explaining the outcomes of diobeying God. they did no longer have history to look lower back on. at present, we can seem lower back and notice how issues flow extraordinarily incorrect while we succumb to sin and we nevertheless elect to do the incorrect element... As to your reaction to Chris: i do no longer understand if that's the element he became into attempting to make yet some Christians do carry the "as quickly as saved continuously saved" view. In a manner I disagree. If one is fairly a Christian, one would be striving to conquer temptation and stay a existence that is eye-catching to God and follows the commandments He set for us. Claiming to be a Christian yet committing sin after sin after sin, without remorseful approximately or prefer to alter makes me query the legitimacy of somebody's faith and contemplate whether they somewhat known Christ in any respect.

All books including religious scriptures need revised editions. They make interesting periodicals.
