It is called bigotry. Many bigots identify themselves as Christians. They are not actually Christians, but they think of themselves that way.

We need to stop lumping the true Christians in with these mentally ill people who call themselves Christians. Its not fair to the good people who live their lives trying to follow the teachings of Jesus.

Ok, i'm starting to get confused here. I was baptised as a Roman Catholic, have turned my back on that and I kind of consider myself a Christian but I'm still searching. I don't understand all this anti-Christian stuff. I mean don't get me wrong, Bible preaching and telling me to repent doesn't work, I'm an extremely cynical scientist but everyone here seems to be Christianity this and Christians that and at the same time they are preaching about tolerance. It doesn't make sense. Those attacks were made in the name of religion but you get hundreds of those in any religion. Violence has no reason, people try to give it reason.
Secondly you'd want to check your facts again. i'm talking about the second last one in relation to Ireland. The bombings between Catholic and Protestants is a result of land and politics. Get your facts right. Its between Unionists and Nationalists in Northern Ireland. The Nationalists consider it a fight for an Irish state for a completely free Ireland. The Unionists consider Northern Ireland their home. Putting religions on the face of this has been a modern thing, they're not killing each other because of their religion they're killing each other because of what the words Catholic and protestant represent i.e Nationalist and Unionist. Its not a proper example for here, try politics.

For one thing, there's no such thing as an "Atheistic Jew."

Secondly, why would you bother re-establishing a post that was well dealt with originally? Trying to keep the Christian-bashing momentum going?

Finally, take a closer look at most of your examples. The majority of those who involve themselves in religious violence are simply mentally ill. Whether & how God judges their so-called Christian behavior is up to Him. Most people understand the difference between violent mental illness & true Christianity.

My suggestion? Try God for yourself. Don't let anyone else talk you into jumping off a bridge just because they're doing it.

I'm a happy assed athiest. I don't know anything about any of this ish posted. I really don't care, so it doesn't bother me. This religion stuff doesn't relate to me. I don't agree to setting someone else's religion on fire. If it helps them to be a better person then more power to their asses. Good for them. Don't be so mad. Yes, it bothers you more than it bothers me, but nothing to do about it so chill out & be athiest instead of anti-religious. Hate is in one not one's religion. Ultimately those who believe & are solely devoted know that hate is not at all taught in their religion or any. Their religion is used as an excuse to act the way they do. But their acts are the same as any extremists, religious or not.

look, everything has something gud as well as something bad. all the religions have some people good in them and some people bad. but if u look and count then only 5% of the people in a perticular religion are terrorists and evil, not all of them. n so for that u cant be blaming the whole religion n insult all the followers of that religion .....

its not good.....

I don't know if this is a question is looks more like a statement. Religion should never be an excuse to kill another human being regardless of the circumstance.

some people just cant play nice and do exteme things like kill to get their message across. even if other people dont agree they dont deserve to be killed. live your life treating people the way you want to be treated and the world will be a better place.
