CC stands for carbon copy. This comes from the days of typewriters. When you wanted to send the same letter to more than one person you would use paper and Carbon paper to type the letter. If you wanted to send it to three people you would take three pieces of paper and two pieces of carbon paper and put them between the paper. Then type the letter. The first or top letter was the original and the other two are Carbon Copies.
Using Carbon Copy in email is simular. If you want to send an email to someone for action, then use their address in the TO:. If you want others to get that email for information purposes, but not to take action on, then list them in the CC. You can add many addresses to CC. The problem is that every receipient can see who the other receipients are.
Bcc is Blind Carbon Copy. Works just like CC except the receipient cannot see who else you sent it to. They will only see their address in the Bcc.
To use CC or Bcc you must put your email address in TO: and then the receipients addresses in CC or Bcc.

Open your e-mail software.
2. From the Message or File menu, select New Message. A new message opens.
3. Type the recipient's e-mail address in the To field. Enter a subject in the Subject field, and type in your message in the main field.
4. Enter the addresses that you want to receive a copy in the CC field. Separate each address by a comma or a semicolon, depending on your e-mail program. For example, your CC field could look like this: mymail@sendit.com, betsy@something.com, tom@somethingelse.com.
5. Click Send. The message will be sent to the first recipient, and each person in the CC field will receive a copy.

CC refers to Carbon Copy, old term from precopier times, mostly. BCC refers to Blind Carbon Copy.
Let's say you want to write a note to a coworker outlining a plan of action. You want your boss and the coworker's boss to each receive a copy of the note. And, you want a copy on your computer at home.
Use the TO field for the person you are writing the note to. Use the CC field for your boss and your coworker's boss. Use the BCC field for your personal email address.
Your coworker and both of your bosses will know they each received a copy of the message and that it is communication between you and coworker. The bosses were included to keep them informed. None of them will know you have sent a copy to your personal email.
The only way to know who is in a BCC field on a message sent to anyone is to gain access to the computer program that initiated it or track it on the network.
Another purpose for BCC is to have meeting announcements sent to people who you want to protect email privacy of.

CC means carbon Copy, when u want to send mail to multiple person, u add the names in CC, which will shows other user that u also send same message to listed persons in CC.
Bcc means Blind Carbon copy, which means u don't want to show that u also send same message to person listed in BCC.

when you use cc mail you can send an email to other people then you write to "to" part. besides if you use bcc and write an email adress there the people you write on "cc" or "to" part will never know that the people on "bcc" line get the message.
