Why does my dvd 3688kx recorder not allow me to finalise, go black screen and make important discs useless?

This is similar to wot happened to me. My Philips DVD recorder wouldn't finalize. It wouldn't finalize cause i used up all of my Disc space. You need to save some space on the Disc for the Finalizing. If you haven't and used up all the space on the disc then it wont finalize.

you need to look in the manual for "factory reset" and try that... also make sure the disc you are using is spotless
