I know the bible says it was because of their unbelief but why do you think He could not perform miracles there?

Because most people believed that nothing good came out of Nazareth. Most people knew Jesus and they knew his mother, brothers and sisters, for them he was just a Carpenter son of carpenter and nothing more, plus when Jesus started his ministry the Jews wanted to stoned him because he said he was fulfilling the prophecies from the book of Isaiah.

I must ask you if you have read the bible or if you are going on what someone else has told you. If you read the bible you will see that he did do many, many miracles in the Holy land. In fact when he was raised from the dead after 3 days not only did he come back to life, but the dead in the general vicinity of the tomb that he was buried, also came back to life and were seen by hundreds in Jerusalem. Most people just go by what preachers or others say. Let me tell you this, if someone tells you something in the bible, and you go yo the bible and can not find it anywhere in the Bible, or any of the Apocryphal Books such as The Book of Enoch, or the book of Jasher, and so on. There 14 Apocryphal Books, then they are wrong and you should tell them so. The Bible says that you can believe a lie and still be damned, so be sure of what you think you know. It's not that he COULDN'T perform miracles. It is just because people rejected Him He chose not to do miracles. Jesus never really was out to prove who He was. He only confirmed who He was through people's faith with miracles. Those that did not believe did not get to see signs because it was about faith first, miracles second. Many others, including the pharasees wanted to see these miracles in order to believe. But miracles were to confirm the belief, not establish the belief.

Funny, I never thought of Christ as being from any particular country. He was a teacher for the World.
Why should he have limited his teachings by staying in one place? Why should he have denied the rest of the world the graciousness, the gentleness, the all accepting of his lessons?

He did. He performed miracles in many places in his own country, when he was alive and walked the land.

Who told you he didn't?Is it really true that there were only non-believers in his country? I don't think so and would not want to clash with any religious belief.
