If you have Windows XP then you already have a good speech recognition system built in. Additional capabilities can be added using the e-Speaking (website below) Voice and Speech Recognition software.

Microsoft has a good summary on their website called: "How to install and configure speech recognition in Windows XP" (see last reference below).

The combination of Microsoft's software and e-Speaking should enable you to accomplish great things with voice recognition.

Look at the video of e-Speaking:

Most of the speech recognition software currently in use only understands English (or Chinese). Sorry. They are working on expanding it to other languages.

AHA!! I know this!! You need to go to a Computer shop and buy head phones WITH microphone attached. When you plug them in you need to clich the microphone button in the bar at the bottom of the screen. Once its highlighted you can speak into it (CLEARLY!) and it shall type what you say. You can choose languages and also theres a training button avalible NEXT to the micriophone button which helps you speak clearly and PC-genic
