I heard about this cat that is as big as a small to smaller-medium sized dog. It is supposed to have little tufts of black fur on its ears that stand straight up, and I was told that it was bread with some kind of wild cat to get it the way it is. If anyone knows the name, or at least what it was bread with, it would be greatly appriciated if you could give me the heads up. I already tried looking online for it, and not finding anything noteworthy.

They are normal house pets, and they aren't considered wild animals, they are just really really big. But they arent Panthers or Tigers anything of that size. They are just bigger than Manecoons, and weigh about 30lbs if I remember correctly.

The chausie and savannah cats were really really close. But the fur on their ears isnt quite long enough. The fur on the ears stands straight up, about an inch, maybe two, but it looks as if its like someone may have took spiking gel to it, but it grows that way natural. They were showed on a local newstation recently, as being in a few animal shelters, and being recently introduced to our area as pets. The manx was close too, they do have big heads, but these ones still have a tail. Thanks for the help by the way to all of you who are lending me a hand with my problem.

Hi there...perhaps you may be thinking about the Chausie breed, which is a mix of the Jungle cat and an Abyssinian. Please links below. I couldn't email you back as your email address is not confirmed yet.

Bengals (cats not tigers)
or Savannah cats
Maine Coons (these have been around for a while and are NOT a cat crossed with a raccoon like some people think)

these are still iffy as pets and tend to be somewhat more active/destructive.. do your research thoroughly before getting one...

remember there are thousands of domestic cats being killed daily because of a lack of homes - if you really love cats you would get one from a shelter

I would be afraid to have a cat bigger than a regular domestic cat, as they can be a real problem, if they want to

Savannah cats. They are illegal in some states, so fine out what the regulations are in your state.
