ive been in this relationship for almost 7 yrs...1 september it will be 7yrs...we started dating when i was 14 and he was 17. and ive realised that i do love him more than myself but wasnt sure if its ok. his my first and im his first guess we were lucky to meet/fall in love at such a young age...we dont have any children yet..working on our careers first and are planing on getting married in the future... and oh before i forget thanx kellen de and Coco...great to know that im not the only one that believes in true love and unconditional love

That is the love which is you feeling now . loving some one more then your self is what whom i can say a true love . Nothing is wrong there . Actually you don't know the limits of you feelings for that person . But my friebnd one sided love is always harmful as the fire of jungle. So i hope you had told that person that wht you feel about him if not then go on . Tell him. But be careful that he understand you or may be he can use you for his lust .

This is called unconditional love, when you would do anything for that person, when that person's happiness is more important than your own.
I would also say that your partner is very lucky to have u : )!
Of course it depends on the individual...as long as u r happy in the relationship and feel comfortable and loved then there is nothing wrong with feeling this way : )!

No, it is not wrong to feel that way. But in order to be happy in a commited relationship you have to love yourself as much as you love your partner. For example, you have to make sure that you love your appearance, manners, health, habits etc. If you don't then you will feel miserable and can only pretend to be happy. And sooner or later pretences will destroy the relationship.

yes u can love someone more than yourself but it normally causes u heartache. the shrinks say it is low self esteem. been there done that.
