How to get rid of bad smell from my left ear with little yellow discharge?

I had ear drum operation and my damaged inner bones , tapes, superstrud , innus were removed . Dr. advised to get a small operation for the removed particles to be replaced after few months of my ear drum operation but i couldnt get it done at that time and now it after ten years I met the same Dr. who told to get it done quickly for better hearing and removal of plastic tapes that were put earlier for the ear drum which has decayed. I would like to know the exact meaning of this and how neccessary it is to be done and whether I would be able to get my hearing problem solved, Thank YOu

Do exactly what YOUR doctor has told you to do. HAVE SURGERY!!!

seriously put a drop of alcohol n your ear try the strongest u can get like the one n wal mart it sounds really weird but the alcohol actually dries it out if u don't do that it could get worse .ppl could eventually be able to smell it from across the room. i heard this from a doctor not for me but a child my fam takes care of she needs surgery but hasn't yet had it. n we were told that this would help.pls don't put a lot n your ear jus a drop every day. bye!

Odor and yellow discharge means infection. Since you had previous problems you need to contact your Dr immediately. You can lose your hearing for good if you don't. My husband had 4..constant infections, but is now fine. Don't wait.

I would definitely return to my doctor asap !! It sounds like you still may have some sort of infection left in the ear. Don't wait !!
