I have a guy friend who has always had a major crush on me, nothing ever happened because I had a long term partner, my guy friend went to work abroad and in the meantime me and my partner split up, now my guy friend is back and feels there is nothing stopping us from getting together I really love him as a friend, find him attractive (he's georgeous actually) and think he would be a great boyfriend but firstly I would hate to lose the friendship I have with him and secondly he has unresolved issues with his ex and I dont want to be the rebound girl or just a pit stop until he goes back to her, which I think is a possibility. I know this is really long but I need help Please!!!

Hi.
You should give him a chance. Who knows. Maybe he is the right one for you. Have a serious conversation with him and try to find a solution together. If you both decide to go out, this won't affect your friendship as it's said that your bf should also be your best friend. Friendship may turn into love. And that's what has happen in your situation. You will both be able to understand each other perfectly since you were good friends. You should make sure that you will be able to give him all your love, care for him, understand him, trust him and most of all never betray him. Think well before taking any decision in order not to regret afterwards. Ask him to resolve the matters with his ex before you take any decision. Wish you all the best.

usually the best relationships start out as friendships. because u already know the past about each other likes, dislikes, and problems.
