I recently spilt with my ex about 4 months ago after a 4 year relationship. 2 months before we broke up I got hers and my mobile phones on my contract as I had always done (not thinking we'd split up of course). When we did part ways I asked for the phone back but she was determined that she would pay me monthly for the phone until the contract was up and then had the bare faced cheek to post it back to me yesterday which means I now have to fork out for the rest of her contract... What would you do about this? Confront her? Leave it? (rip her head off) lol (joke)

If you had read the content of the question, you would have seen that she didn't want to give the phone back at first, and wanted to keep it for the duration, then when she realised after a few months that £40 a month was to high, she thought **** it and gave it back cause she's a lazy spoilt child and thinks of no-one but herself...

Oh dear, well I guess you won't be making that mistake twice. I think you just have to put this one down to experience, if you don't pay I'm guessing they are going to bill you.
The other possibility is that you could find somebody else to share or take the contract, perhaps a friend or family member?

I think it's one of those situations where you need to confront her and say you need her to honour the verbal bargain she made with you. After all, you were doing her a favour by getting the phone, and, presumably, paying for it on her behalf, before the split. As you are going to be out of pocket because she's changed her mind, the right and ethical thing for her to do is pay you. Whether she does or not is another matter.
If she won't pay up, then you need to speak to your mobile provider and see if they'll let you out of the contract without penalty due to unforseen circumstances. Otherwise you need to find someone else to take it on.
These last two options are probably best, as that way you won't have to chase her up for the cash each month. It seems she can't afford it anyway and do you really want to keep on dealing with her for the next year over this?

Contact the service provider, they may help in some way, some of them are human and will take into Account that you have 2 contracts with them, lesson for the future, u can change the contract into someone else's name after about 8 weeks and they take over the responsibility, think u need their permission tho so don't try n change it into her name now!

Erm...well you did ask for the phone back...and she did give it back (even if it was later than you hoped)
What's the problem?
Give it to your new gf or something or give it to a mate you trust and get them to pay the contract.
Leave your ex alone...she's probably trying to get a reaction anyways, so the best thing you could do is act like you're not bothered and don't contact her.

dont waste your time and give her the satisfaction that she is getting to you, i would let it go and forget about it. What goes around comes around she will get what she deserves

Hmmm....
All depends why you split up if it was something you did take it on the chin, if not I'm not sure their is much you can do if it is all in your name.....
If you do confrount her do it calmly and resonably .try and appeal; to her reasonable sidwe!!...
