Go with a cocktail dress! After high school and college dances, you don't get too many chances to get all dressed up and girly :)

It doesn't have to be too elaborate, especially if your man isn't wearing a suit (though he should, if it states "black and white tie invited" you can bet there will be people who do and you don't want to feel under-dressed). Try a simple, jewel tone or neutral, ankle length dress in a quality fabric with a top that flatters you, like a halter style top. If you go for a pattern, don't go overboard (no huge flowers). That way, you'll fit in either way.

Think about going to a stylist for your hair, it will be less stressful and almost certainly guaranteed to look nice. Remember, it's always better to over-dress than under-dress!

Enjoy, sounds like it will be a nice time!

Get a bitchen long dress or a coctail hoochi mama outfit you can go dancing in some other time. Take advantage of it and go buy something sexy and fun. Make sure you get really good shoes (heels of course) to go with the outfit with longer gloves for the gown and maybe lace gloves for the cocktail dress. You have to use a smaller dressy bag for a wedding. And if you dont do hair great get an appt to have it done. And eat cottage cheese and grapefruit only b4 the wedding if you need to dump a few pounds to look really good in something slightly tight.

ALOT of good advice given here.

You need to be dressy but not too much skin showing, shiny fabric or sequins. Go for elegant, not boobs hanging out. And your b/f needs to be in a suit. Believe it or not, you will be looked at on how well you paid attention to the dress code. And don't dress like twins.

This just shows you what is more acceptable as evening wear.

your bf should wear a suit if his boss will be there. you should wear a cocktail dress in a basic color like black, (but don't wear white, it's considered tacky at weddings) that looks elegant & sophisticated without showing a lot of cleavage. any dept store like macy's, nordstrom, jc penney, etc. will have evening and/or cocktail dresses appropriate for a wedding.

A nice black cocktail dress would be perfect for the occasion.

There are few choices. It really depends on you and what you find comfortable.

Here are a few links, hope this helps.

1) This on is called the Fine lines dress, it is beautiful with removable straps and a lightly boned bodice, it is a beautiful black dress. Something fun

2) This one is called sticks & stones dress.

The only name you'll be called is "lovely" when donning this layered frock by Tabitha. Made of printed poplin and draped in black silk organza.

3) This one is called the Princess Grace Dress. It pays homage to a bygone era with glamorous silk chiffon, rich in darts and pintucks. Finished with dainty bows at the straps.

I hope this helps. I love the clothes I find at Anthropologie. The are beautiful and cute. And if you don't like the ones I suggested, there are plenty to chose from in different shapes and colors. Have fun finding the dress. Have a great time shopping.

Ask your boyfriend which idea he likes, the two of you will be in pictures together, you want to look good as a couple and for yourself, and of course we all want to surprise our boyfriends with a pretty look. You can't go wrong with a classy suit.

i think of they look super at the same time! no be counted if or no longer they tournament is fairly only a private determination. i think of it seems severe-high quality the two way. My gown is Ivory and lacey however the gown I picked for my flower lady is fairly lavender. My Bridesmaid outfits are plum so i desperate it appeared severe-high quality with a lighter pink shade. the only you picked does look super with your gown however, so I say choose for it! Congrats on the marriage!

They mean fancy. Like this. And if it's his boss, your bf should definitely wear a suit or tux. http://shop.nordstrom.com/C/6001768/0~2376776~2374327~2374331~6001765~6001768?origin=6001765_Shop+by+Event%2fOccasion6001765

Just wear an elegant white dress that makes you more girly but the most important is that, your comfortable with the dress you wear.
