First of all we do not sit around all day praying. Many firemen, police officers, soldiers, doctors, nurses, teachers, and many others are believers. Do they do nothing but pray? Second sure I'm about as addicted to God as you and I are to oxygen. Quit breathing for a while and see if you feel better.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

1) It is possible, especially if the humankind concern is not within their reality.
2) It would be better to be with God once in awhile and be more independent more often.
3)No, hunger will lead them to reason since they have been praying all day and violence is not in their vocabulary.
4) Our paradise has been destroyed right in front of us and still God did not say, Humans, clean your mess in the paradise that I have made for the whole world to live in.....Prayer for such occasions are needed and not just for personal only.

Better to be addicted in something beneficial than in substances that can destroy your life.
Just think: What if the "theory" (if you don`t believe in it yet) of the existence of God is true? Will it be better to disprove it and die without knowing where you are going? Or is it better to know and find out about it and reap the rewards of faithfulness and addiction to God?
Independence from God? Not in my book!

Religion and belief in a 'personal' God is a psychological crutch for the psychologically weak and gullible who can't face reality and prefer to live in the delusion of a fantasy world. There may be a genetic base that causes some people to be infected with religion more readily than other. It is the duty of those who haven't been infected to help them overcome their delusion and get in touch with the real world - a long and arduous task.

There is obviously a lot of anger in your question. Where is all this anger coming from? You don't believe in God, fine. You think that people who believe in God are foolish, OK. But why do you care what we believe? How is that any sweat off of your nose? Why don't you let us deluded God believers go along and let us alone?
There is an old saying from Shakespear, "Me thinks thou doth protest too much.".

It was Marx and Engles that stated religion is the opium for the people. Interesting and it certainly makes you think.

Can i be addicted to you? No, i don't know you. Ironically, people can get addicted to someone they don't know.
