Neither! Hate gin.
Prefer rye whisky
Can do that. With or without ice? M' Lady?

Depends on what for....to drink neat or with tonic water I'd go for the Bombay Sapphire...for a martini I'd go with the Tanqueray, though there's plenty of other good gins for mixing

Well if I had to choose between just those two I think it would be Bombay Sapphire. But that's only if it were simply those two. My favourite is Plymouth Gin - do try it if you haven't already (and if you are old enough to imbibe alcohol legally!), it changed my whole perception of gin as a drink.

I used to work for Diagio (who market Gordons and Tanq). I prefer Sapphire- it isn't a modern invention, I come from an Indian Army family and it has always been - the spice blend makes it for me. Just a little different.
Gordon's is a solid everyday mixing gin. Tanq is nice- but have you tasted their vodka? Strange- not sure whether I liked it or not (so I drank lots to check).

Tanquery is better than Bombay Sapph. I used to buy the Sapphire because they had full page ads in playboy but then I tried Tanquery and liked it better. Tried Beefeater and even liked IT better than sapphire. I don't know what it is, something about it just turns me off.

Out of the two I'd have to say Tanquery.
But even better is Hendricks Gin, absolutely gorgeous!
Try it with a slice of cucumber and tonic and ice.
You will not be disappointed I guarantee.

I think that Tanq sucks, so Sapphire. Tanq is another one of those alcohols that benefits from advertising (think Absolut Vodka). I think it's an inferior product, but because it advertises more and more creatively, and because it's commonly available, it's many people's favorite.
But, if I had my druthers, I would have either Hendrick's or Boodles Gin. Far superior to the other two. : )

Tanqueray for me. Preferably Tanqueray # 10, the super-premium stuff.
Sapphire is far too aromatic for my taste, and I really wanted the Gin to be blue...
Straight up with a drop of dry vermouth and two olives. Two of those and I can communicate with Martians!
