You are doing alright with the English. Just keep using it and trying and you will learn. To answer your question about if most Americans are religious and how much they really believe in it. I find that most say they believe and at the same time they live lives that would say otherwise. Some are very involved in their faith but most really are not. People tend to use it when they have no other way to explain something. Also when they do not take the time to really understand things they turn to the religion and most of the time stay ignorant.

America is a diverse country and no two people are the same. We all have very different religious beliefs some have none at all some are very deep and powerful while some are just on the surface. One thing I could say most Americans have is a sense of Country pride and honour. GO USA can be heard from the majority of Americans. I would have to say that when their backs are against the wall against another country that is when the USA will stand together. At least long enough to cheer for our team. :)

Not all American's are religious. The majority is Christian or Catholic, or Jewish, which are all tided together by a few major elements. Some Americans have no religon, and think very deeply about life on the same deep level as some deep thinking religous people.

Hope thats helps a little.

Many people have said that faith in America is a mile wide and inch deep, but I consider that an overgeneralization.

Many Americans are very strong in their faith, whatever it maybe.
