I'm ambi-dextrous, I write with my right and play sports with my left... I don't know about that prejudice about left handed people but for me it is not that true. Even though I never failed academically and I can play the piano well enough, I'm not exactly better than the rest of my peers who are right handed... So, I don't know...

well, research has shown that left-handed people use the right part of their brain(creative), while right handed people use the left part of their brains(logical)

i am abidextrous too and i think your research is true about left handers being creative and musical.
i was born a left-hander but when i started formal education, my teacher forced me to write with ma right hand, cos i was the only left-hander in the class. and i heard that is a bit dangerous cos people like that can be a bit clumsy.

i just found out when i grew older that ma left hand was always shooting forward to do everything except writing...and believe it or not, the left hand isnt respected in my part of the world - Africa...

i have always been a straight A student, so i think that part about being smarter applies for me. lol

i dont know what you mean about being related to the creative genius but you may be right

Your brain is divided into left (logical) and right (creative).

The left side of our body is controlled by the right brain while the right side of body is controlled by the left brain.

You will notice people who are left handers are suppose to be more creative and artistic. But not necessary any more smarter.

Yes even I have read something similar to that but all tests done are only on handful of left-handed ppl & you really cant apply this to all the left-handed ppl in the world. A lot depends on the place u were born & brought up, cultural, social, educational background etc.

There is no evidence that left handers are smarter or more creative than right handers. And it is ambidextrous. Case in point.

im left handed, but i get worse grades than my friend whos right handed.

and the part about being creative and musical is true for me.

but i did beat that same friend at getting a higher IQ so she accused me of cheating. (i didnt think it was possible to cheat on an IQ test)

I am not left handed, but my three children are.My two children who are at school(one is only 3 nearly 4) are straight a students, but l don't think this is because they are left handed,I think this is due to working to their best ability at school.

I heard that, too. But I also heard that we left-handers do not live as long...don't know how proven this is...
