It is true that God entirely, cannot be proven or disproven by science, in other words by mesurable study. However all science does point towards an Infinite Being of reality like all ancient religions talk of. I agree with most of your points. I do not agree that Christians fully understand their own book however, so I'm pretty sure I'm not getting the ten points, but that is beyond my point. Not that it is a Christians fault to any degree necessarily. The Christian translations are far from accurate for one thing. If Christians did decide to study language and Jewish history rather than modernized historical Christian biased translations, they would understand much more about their book than they currently do. God can only be proven when God is realised within oneself, as all ancient religious texts attest to, God can be experienced! That experience is beyond the impact of any numerical proof anyhow. To experience God truly is not to believe in God, it is far beyond that! To experience God is to know that God is without ever a thought of turning back. When you experience something, you know that it is. Some aspects of evolution are beyond theory by the way. Things in the world do evolve according to their environment. Humans inner environment has alot to do with our evolution however, so human beings own hearts and minds influence their evolution. We were designed in the same image as God, does your book not say? What does that mean to be designed in the image of the creator? It must mean that we too are creators does it not? Of course it does! We have co-created the earth to be what it is today in more ways than most people would ever currently dream! When Jesus spoke of the Son of God that shall return, he did not mean his individual self exactly. He meant that people would return to the realisation that we are all Children of God! And from there we shall learn more about who and what we really are and what we are capable of achieving as we grow closer again to that Infinite Spiritual Being or in modern scientific terms that Infinite Energy Being. Nonetheless the Infinite is and always will be, nor does it change. Only it's realization of itself changes when it decides to create, Infinite Spirit (energy) is the true master but can yet become confused. Of course their is direction and purpose behind this confusion. It is a scientific fact that chaos leads to order, but yet so few act as if or even know that it is a fact. So understand. In the beginning God disrupted it's own order(or perfection) in order to create. This chaos and creation shall return to order(perfection) or balance if you will (God state). It is also a fact that all energy exsists in a forever state. Science does point to God and God states and basically does prove the ancient understanding of God really, but it does not prove God by numerical data because of course God is beyond measure. Who cares about arguing with others about what you believe. Go within yourself with truth and pure motivation and you yourself will see that God truly is if you truly seek! In the words of Jesus 'Seek and ye shall find'. Do not lean entirely on one ancient text with poor translation. Take what you can from the wisdom you have learned in it and truly seek!!! Be patient and still (calm) in mind and be upstanding (honourable) in your seeking and behaviour and you will know God's truth even way way way more than you may already! When you prove to yourself and God that you can help lead us home, than things unknown shall be revieled to you. Strange but wonderful gifts shall make you see visions or give rise to your spiritual powers beyond what you now understand, just like what we read about in the days of old. When we are ready as a planet, which will be within 7 to 8 years, beings of light shall return from the skys to help guide us further. The time is coming, prepare for the harvest!!! Am I crazy, or am I just One with God? We are all One with God, but knowing it is the only difference between me and many out there! Or in there, depending upon how you look at it. In the words of Jesus in the gospel of John when he spoke to God ' I long for the day when they shall be as One, just as You and I are One!'

I use to be a christian, no doubt you will say the standard christian response to that ie "you were not really a 'true' christian"
I sought more wisdom from God. was never afraid to ask questions. Read the bible and prayed to Jesus. I loved God with all my heart. After much prayer in an effort to be fully available by the true God, many years, many discoveries, many thanks to God, I finally came to the truth. There is no christian 'God'.
I am aware of all the christian responses to this so dont bother. I use to say them myself concerning other ex christians.
So I sought the truth with a believing heart, and came out an unbeliever.
I dont set out to prove there is not a God. You can try and prove that there is a God.
I finally realized after much christian apologetics, that Jesus was a myth.
I care because christianity teaches hopelessness disguised as hope. Hope in the next life in exchange for hopelessness in this one. The only logical conclusion is to be an atheist. And if there is a 'God/s' of some sort, logical view of reality would have to be the only acceptable thing.
Christianity teaches psychotic behavior. faith should be in the real things, not the personal make believe friends.
Christian leaders are actively lying to many of you people. Primitive superstition coupled with modern technology scares me. I have family and the human right to live on this earth and work for a safe place to live. I want christians to learn the truth, for there own good and mine.
Having been a christian for 15 years, I know all too well how christians see the world and read the bible.
merry christmass.

One way to do scientific research is to start out with the opposite result and disprove it.
The logic goes:
If A then B
Not B therefore Not A
That is the logical way. There are exception and "God" would qualify for such. As most sophisticated scientists would come to realize that logic isn't necessary the right tool to prove or disprove "God". Althou it is usually good form to make arguments logical in a civilized world.
Having said that, scientists kept running into contradictory statements in the Bible and discussions are called for to enlighten / understand the subject at hand.
If that is so wrong to ask questions then why would anyone believe that "God" had given free will to all he loves?
Scientists believe in finding out fact regarding the unknown and "God" being outside of logic and science would surely be an interesting subject to contemplate and discuss on.
Having said that logic and science could not be used in the subject, scientists just take it to the appropriate place for the discussion.
They may be wrong in using the wrong tools, but they are learning. Please have patience.
If we had a hammer we would tend to think of all problems as nails. It is only human...

"Why try to undiscover somthign that you dont believe in or have a basis with?"
Undiscover? What do you mean? I don't think that's even an English word.
"You want us to believe in Science?"
I don't care if you "believe" in science or not. Are you saying you don't? If you don't then I suggest you stop using your computer because that is a product of science.
"If you dont belive in God our a higher power why do you intend to argue with us that do? To argue is to care."
You're right, we do care. We don't care what you believe, everyone has the right to believe whatever they want. What we care about is what happens when you can't keep your beliefs to yourselves - that causes problems. For examples of this and more reasons why atheists care and continue to argue about religion and god, I suggest you watch this 5 minute video:

I don't believe in god in the sense that you do. I am a deist that believes in the big bang and the whole nine yards.
Athiests don't have science to be their "god," but rather it explains why certains came to be and what not. At a point in time, the thunder was thought to be produced by god, but science has proven this to be false. Schizophrenia and other mental disorders were thought to be the devil that possessed the person, but science has proven this to be false as well. There are other thousands of instances that I can show you.
Athiests do care about people believing in god because they believe that these people are being blinded by things that are unreal and keep them from critically thinking. They believe that "faith" is something counterproductive because it requires yielding questioning. In addition, religion has proven to be very damaging and destructive in many ways (like those that believe injections are against god). Athiests wish to keep people from taking choices based on irrational superstition.
Personally, I could care less what people believe in as long as they stay away from my business, but seeing as to how lately they've been trying to hijack the constitution through religion, it has become alarming to see this becoming a theocracy.
Oh, and last time I checked, I didn't have an athiest knocking in my door trying to convince me of their beliefs unlike religious groups.

Umm...science doesn't try to explain faith or God, but it can explain natural phenomena that were/are attributed to God historically, or disprove notions held by religious people (Earth revolving around the sun, and not the other way around.
As for creating science and evolution to be our God, that is ridiculous. What kind of definition of God are you even using? And you are ignoring the fact that many prominent scientists are theists of some form or another.
I don't care if someone else believes in a god. I just enjoy discussing matters of religion as I do discussing history or college football. I do care when people have misconceptions of a particular religious viewpoint and make assumptions or act based on those misconceptions. Your question is one such example of making assumptions about atheists based on your erroneous understanding of what atheism is. I also care when people insist on pushing their religious beliefs on other people, particularly through the mechanisms of government.
And for your argument that you cannot understand the bible unless you are Christian.....many atheists were Christian at one point. Indeed, it was reading the bible as a Christian that started my interest in religious studies in general, which led me to agnostic atheism.

Story tellers? Atheists?
I think you've got that backwards. Atheists rarely base their lives on fables and scary stories.
Lets compare. The Theory of Evolution was formed in an attempt to make sense of existing evidence. The theory of God was formed because a some nut job 6000 years ago wrote books about his imaginary friend. The only evidence that this imaginary friend is real? A book that says he is.
Evolutionists can be blamed directly for 0% of the wars in human history. God has been the cause of more wars than any other reason in human history.
Evolutionists do not engage in genocide. Gods minions have taken credit for genocide several times in their own "holy" book, and made failed attempts at wiping out other races several times in the last 2000 years.
You will not find an Evolutionist document that states that the Theory of Evolution told people to go out and kidnap women and children to rape, enslave people, torture, discriminate against, or hate their fellow man for not believing in Evolution. However, you WILL find that God endorses these activities in the Holy Bible, the Torah, and the Q'uran.
Overall, even if the Theory of Evolution is flawed, it is not blatantly evil like Moses imaginary friend. To it's credit, the Theory of Evolution is malleable and actively attempts to perfect itself. The Theory of the Imaginary Friend states that the imaginary friend is already perfect, but fails to reconcile the concepts and ideas that are blatantly, and verifiably false within it's own doctrine.

The bible cannot fully be understood unless you are like an obedient child, because obedient children accept everything they hear without question. Faith and God cannot be explained scientifically and this is where the doubt comes in. It's true, we cannot disprove the existence of God, but we also can't disprove the existence of unicorns. Do you believe in unicorns? God is beyond science because he is an imagination. Who ever said we didn't care about religion? We are trying to free the people from the constraints of religion. Religion claims to be life enriching, but we believe it to be life demeaning. There was a question the other day about a guy who needed Christian help so that he would resist the urges to masturbate.... What is so wrong with that?? There is nothing wrong with sex, and actually it's very healthy to be sexual... Sex with hookers might be wrong, but to make people believe that masturbation is wrong is absurd! Christians are out of there minds to deny yourself simple pleasures! It's true that excessive sin can lead to problems in life... Excessive gluttony can cause obesity, excessive lust can cause the spread of STDs, excessive greed will create a world of selfishness with people trampling over people not giving a **** about anyone else but themselves.... There is no denying the good and evil aspects of the bible, but a little bit of sin in small doses should not be denied. People should be taught to be good for the good of mankind, not for fear of entering Hell, because it is in my opinion that this is a selfish reason, and selfishness is, to me, the root of all evil. You say "if one does not believe in God then why care if someone else did?" Well, if one does believe in God, then why care if someone else doesn't? Christians have constantly been "saving" cultures with their God. And, it's funny how they conquer a land and then "save" these people. They're being saved by the same people who took their land. Also, if you read the bible Christians are supposed ti kill non-believers and wrong-believers. Their supposed to kill their rebellious sons or daughters. Luckilly their are no Christian extremists who follow that part of the bible. But there are muslim extremists who do follow that part. And these religious wars have been going on for years in the middle east. And religious wars have been going on throughout the history of mankind. Yes, atheists are trying to spread their word about the falsity of religion, but that is because we believe the world would be a place much better off without religion. And the bible makes no sense anyways.. It's not because I'm not a christian that I don't understand. It's because I ask questions and the answers I recieve sound like excuses. Satans greatest lie is making you believe he doesn't exist. God is more powerful than Satan, right? How come God's greatest truth isn't proving he exists? Let me guess... He shows you everyday that he exists, right? We know he exists because of all the beauty in the world. We know he exists because the human body is a miracle. We know he exists because how else could this wonderful universe exist? I see Jesus everyday in everyone I meet. He shows himself in the disguise of people. I know he exists because he helped me through the hard times. No, your belief in a false God helped you, it's psychological. If you need religion for the hard times, then keep believeing. Some people need something to hold on to. There is nothing wrong with having faith. Me, as a non-believer, I place my faith in Good, not God.

Stop pretending you're under attack here. The christians are almost always the ones who start the trouble with atheists, due to their mandate of converting non-believers. People care when phrases in stone that say "I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt have no false gods before me, and thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain" are erected on property where the government "shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion." People care when others start teaching religion in school and forcing it down their childrens' throats. That's why they care.
Freedom of religion gives you the right to practice your religion in your place of worship, and in your home. It does not give you the right to spread your religion to others if they declare that they don't want it. How would you feel if you walked into a courthouse and saw anton levy's nine satanic statements engraved in stone? Would that be OK?
You state that one cannot understand the Bible unless one is Christian. I say, one cannot understand the Bible unless it is read from an unbiased standpoint. Read the Bible with an open mind, as a book written by men, and you will see a book of misogyny, religious intolerance, and crimes against humanity. Such a book is not worthy of the phrase "word of God", in my opinion.

athiesm is just a way for some to deal with the non acceptance of God. i think it's partly being bitter (you have a God and we don't, so we hate you,) partly fear (of the unknown,) but mostly sheer ignorance. athiests insist we accept the big bang THEORY (complete lack of evidence for that since it's a THEORY, you see.) i personally don't believe much in coincidence and chance, and in my view, for anyone to assume that all of this existence around us is by anthing less than intelligent design smacks of either cowardice, arrogance, or ignorance. hardly matters.....so long as they stop screaming about the so-called seperation of church and state (which is NOT in the constitution, just like abortion,) i'm willing to wait it out until we're all gone and then see who was right. I think athiests would at least hedge their bets to be smart, because if they are right, there is nothing and neither side loses anything....but if they are wrong, there is no cosmic "do-over!"
