What is A Realationship.......really?

To me, it starts with the initial attration, that spark when you meet someone that really interests you, that you want to know. The first while of course, is exciting, almost euphoric. You can't get enough of each other. The person seems almost flawless. And then the euphoria starts to fade as you get to really know each other. Your faults, quirks, and little things that make each person individual, unique and special start to show. As you become closer, you share these things with each other, and allow yourself to become vulnerable to pain, because until you really let go, and allow yourself to fall, it won't happen...but if you do, it can be amazing. You cannot begin to imagine how scary it is to allow yourself to need someone else, but also how wonderful it feels to be needed. To allow you, to become an us. To come home from a long hard day, worked to the bone, and have it all dissapear when you see that warm smile, and feel that familiar embrase. To care more about someone else than yourself, and having them feel the same way, knowing it just by a look.

Its about laughter, not like when you laugh at a joke, but like when you laugh at yourself, only having someone to share it with, making it that much better. It allowing yourself to be yourself, like how you are in your most private moments, like when you dance and sing in front of a mirror, only instead of a mirror, you have someone else being just a silly. Its midnight talks about anything and everything, and also the silent moments, but not alone. Its allowing yourself to cry your eyes out, but having someone rub your back. Its a smile, a look, a touch. Its being happy, scared, excited and every other emotion all wrapped in one. The warm feeling you get inside after hearing a familiar voice, when your feeling alone.

Its growing together, building, sharing. Its asking "how was your day?" and really wanting to hear the answer. Its about little surprizes, and wanting to make someone as happy as you can imagine, and the feeling you get when you see them smile, knowing you were successful. Its laughing out loud in a store, or your car, or at work, remembering something funny that you two shared, and that silly smile you get when your "special someone" just seems to pop into your head. Its when something wonderful or exciting happens to you and you can't wait to share it....... and also, when something terrible happens, allowing them to ease your grief.

Its a little note, a moonlite stroll, a pasionate kiss, a message. Its allowing the world to stop, even if only for a moment to say, "How are ya doing" Its being apart, but still having the comfort of knowing your an us.

Its spontanuity, and plans, sharing friends and holding hands. Its the happy feeling you get when you see them succeed, and the pain you feel when you watch them fall. Its being scared when their scared, but being their crutch, and allowing them to be yours.

Its the most amazingly wonderful, strange, scary, best feeling in the world, and cherishing it when you find it.

Love has no definition. It has no boundaries. Love is a made up word for an emotion, a feeling so few really have. The word is used too often (ie, i love that car or this job or that outfit) If that is what love is, then what can we say when we are overwhelmed by a feeling of pure serenity, blinded by attraction, full of desire and utterly devoted to making anothers life as happy as they have made yours because I cannot compare this feeling with the "love" of a car. A car won't give me the warm feeling in my chest or the butterflies in my stomach. It won't hold me when I am sad or care for me when I am ill. Only my Scott can do that. This is the feeling that so few ever have. This is what I am assuming you mean when you ask me to define love. So I guess for me, my husband, Scott, is love. And there could never be another meaning. We are married and have 2 living children, one 13 and the other 8. After you have been together as long as we have and still feel like you did on your first date... you know what "love" really is.

Love is the most painful yet satisfying experience that any single person can experience in their life. It is trying yet extremely rewarding. It involves two parties, not always people, sometimes art or work, and true emotion is displayed to an audience(the other person-if we are talking about a relationship here). It is full of successes and failures. But in the end, love is amazing.

Love is different for everybody. For instance, I love God, because He was our Creator. I love Jesus because he died for us. I love my children because they are part of me, and I want to protect them. I love my husband because he is my soul mate. Ok, can you prove that by just saying you get endorphins from it, no, because you can run around the block and get endorphins. Love does give it, but so do other things. Love cannot be explained, but you know when you have it. It is like nothing else....

Love to me is helping my son get on his feet after a major accident getting him to feed himself ,to get over the depression of seeing his disfigured face ,accepting this is for life , being there when he needs to cry , telling him suicide is not the answer , there's lots more but that IS LOVE

I heard this definition from a three year old child and I want to share it with u...."Love is when someone hurts you, but you don't cry, because you know it hurts him more"... hope I didn't lose the meaning in the translation....

You love someone when you actually care how the events of their life turns out! You are emotionally invested at that point!

the word stands for itself.
I feel its one of those words that can not be defined because of the feelings involved. It would lose its value if you were try to define it!!

Love for me is a desire to protect and cherish someone for the rest of my life. To always be with them, to support them and share in their life and share my life with them. To make them laugh when they are sad, to laugh with them when they are happy and to make sure that they never ever feel alone.

mon amour, mon cheri

certains t'ont promis la terre,
d'autres promettent le ciel
il y en a qui t'ont promis la lune
et moi je n'ai rien que ma pauvre guitare
