Bite into a grape skin, an apple skin, a walnut, and you'll sense the dry bitterness typical of tannin.

Full bodied refers to the richness of flavor as well as alcoholic content.

Tannin is tannic acid as it appears in wine. It is extracted from the grape skin during the winemaking phase called 'maceration' (soaking the juice with the skins to extract color, etc. before fermentation).
Its the sensation similar to a very strong cup of tea, where one's lips stick to one's teeth slightly. It provides structure or backbone for red wines.
Full-bodied refers to a wine with a rich texture as opposed to one which is watery.
