Belief does not have to be rational, my friend. Neither does empathy have to be based upon one's own experiences.

don't feel bad about that. remember a bunch of men who were trying to control the population a long time ago are the ones who either wrote or altered the bible to make it look like all women were sinners. This is why women have been so degraded for so long until about the last century. This is what people do when they are given power, they try and make the person they they are threatened by the most look the worst. In this case, this lasted for a few thousand years. There really should be a balance.

I believe in the Bible because I know there is a God, I met Him very powerfully one day. I had to study it a lot in order to be convinced it was true because my open mind couldn't accept some of the doctrine, but God has shown me over and over that His word is true, and i find when I follow His plan for me, life goes much easier. Try reading Ruth, she was a positive model, also Esther, and the obedience of Sarah, Abrahams wife, in the most difficult of times, is a breathtaking testimony of enduring faith, and the blessings that follow.

Why do men believe in the bible?
Why does anyone believe in the bible?
Because it contains truths that are relevant to all ages and cultures. It does not portray anyone (with the exception of Jesus) as perfect. All are sinners, just as all people are today.
It teaches a pattern for living, and forgiveness. Have YOU actually read, and understood it. Try it before condemning.

The bible was written by men when women were not taught to read. Its a good story but I'm afraid that as with TV soap's some women think it's reality.

Bible says 'The First shall be Last and the Last shall be First', Women are in that position where they are to accept the husbands/male lead, for so many reasons it makes sense and they know, so it would seem that invitation applies to them, Heaven will be a new place for them and us...... i'm sure men will be very accepting of that arrangement. It's a huge reward.

The same reasons men do. They don't look into it far enough. They don't take notice of the obvious discrepancies between the Bible and scientific fact. They are easily lead. This applies to both sexes I believe!

There are a lot of negative aspects about men in there too...
But I don't belive in the Bible for a whole host of different reasons, not because women are sinners in there.

I've no idea. The men who made the bible up must have had a real problem with women - maybe that's why priests like little boys so much.
