the girl has a bf who cheated on her for 3 of their so far 7 months together and she stays with him. also her friends give her hell for staying with him and shes says she loves him and he might be the one for her and hes faithful now. does it make her a human doormat or just dumb?

It makes her normal and humane! I really hope her true love for him will change him into a better person he was may be a few years back and bring forth all the goodness in him. Me be it's naive to think so....but it's also called HOPE! Our prayers are with her that he becomes the better person she so much deserves and love her like no tomorrow for the rest of her life. Actually we must be the ones who are naive to judge her! She might be the strongest of us all. Abidng by her beliefs and convictions by which she leads her life. well we'd say she's crazy but maybe she has developed strong feelings for him especially if she has low self-esteem and he's the first person that has shown her some form of attention..........it's not really easy to walk away. In a case like this sometimes, something drastic has to happen like him hurting her real badly.........then she'll see herself. The saying is true that once a cheater always a cheater but it's not easy to walk away.........trust me!!!

Insecure comes to mind. She needs to get herself together and realize that there are better guys out there and she shouldn't waste her time hanging on to one who obviously isn't interested in her. I'd say that comes with time as she grows up.
